I can see this becoming very successful. If they sell it for £2 each, or include it if you buy a certain among of gear, this could be there most sold product easily! It shows you dedication that rather than saying "here is something BSUK made" you show people how to do it. I don't think many creators would do that.

If I make something that works and nobody else is making it, I always share the process. I am sure the BSUK version is totally different because I played a game with their MD before I posted the video and he showed me his idea for them.
I like making gear, even my bought rigs rarely last 5 mins without being modified. I wish I was better with a sewing machine but theres some skills I have come to realise I am never going to master.

Zip ties work wonders as well.

Pah, zip ties. This is the UK, we make complicated bespoke solutions to these kind of problems......

Hey, I enjoy this sort of DIY video... Do you think that you might make a few more videos on how to make 'war' gear? Thanks for this video anyway!

I buy all my principle gear from Blastersmiths UK, their stuff is very good value and beautifully made. My sewing skills don't extend to pouches and holsters, both of which you need to be strong and reliable. I am re doing my body armour this year, so might post some stuff about that. Sewing works better in a written blog, it's not very interesting to watch and you can't include the required detail. This was such a simple thing I thought it would work on video.

      Ok then, Thanks for that!

you should double back the velcro on the belt facing side so you can use it with a riggers belt and it wont slide around because the velcro will stick to the riggers belt.

Ghostwalker Airsoft Tech Feel free to modify the design however you want. I don’t use a riggers belt so didn’t do that. I don’t sell these so it didn’t matter. The other problem you will find with that is the thickness of two layers of Velcro and a strap is sometimes too much for sewing machines to handle and certainly too thick to push a needle through by hand.

So you are making your own belt keepers which can be purchased on Amazon and get 16 for $9?

I am not making these. They may be available from other vendors but I just put up this tutorial so people can make them.

@@foamdataservices they are still readily available because it's already something that is mass produced by 1000s of companies. I'm just saying it is quicker to buy an available product than to make them for a higher outright price that takes longer.

Hey Foamdata, I just want a quick tip on some modding issues. I know this doesn't relate to this video, but hoping you see this. Ok so I want to overhaul a Modulus blaster, new battery, motors, wiring, and even a new metal cage for a bonus. I do know thanks to your balance videos that I really need new motors and a lipo battery to make sure they balance out.
Here's my main issue, WHAT motors in today's market (not from a year ago) should I get if I want to use a somewhat weak Lipo battery, like a 2S lipo.
Second issue is that I do not want to do any shell mods to make motors fit, so if I have to get smaller (yet strong) motors, what lipo battery (or a weaker one) should I get?)
Basically these two questions go hand in hand, I have yet to figure out a good balance because your video covered a blaster with 3 motors.

MTB Honeybadger motors, 18awg silicone insulated multistrand hobby wire,2s 1000+ Mah 30c constant Lipo. Metal cage- good luck with that, the only current maker, DRS, is not making any more right now. Just get a set of modulus specific Worker flywheels. That set up will shoot about 125fps average.

Foamdata Services and that sucks that Snikkas isn't making any cages right now, that was one reason I wanted to overhaul my Modulus, do you think he'll start again soon? or is there no sign of him continuing yet?

(didn't hit reply... lol) Nice thank you, I've also seen people use better micro switches for the ref trigger, what advantage(s) would there be to have one? and if there is some, is it not noticeable or very noticeable?

    • @foamdataservices
      @foamdataservices  8 ปีที่แล้ว

The microswitch upgrade is better for durability and long term reliability, you don't get any more power from it. There's a guide to switch replacement on my channel. DRS isn't a full time Nerf parts maker, he does other things and did the cages for friends plus his own satisfaction. Hawki007 on Redditt makes the BSP cage, which is cast from resin. I am not a fan of canted flywheels so haven't bothered with aftermarket cages.

Artifact have just released an all metal motor cage and Blasterparts have made concave flywheels with no teeth. No need to buy DRS, the aluminium cage is $28.

Hey FDS you should open up a etsy/eBay store and sell some blasters from time to time

I only build to order, see the link in the description box for my agent. My stuff takes too long to build and I find repeat builds boring so I never have any "surplus."
