I planted passion fruit in Lucban Quezon. Unfortunately I lose money in my venture. The labor cost in Lucban is too high. And another factor is the location ofy plantation is far from the main road. So I have to pay for carabao transport of passion fruit to the road .

Po s inyo Sir Randy am excited of watching ur Presentation re: Passion Fruit or Masa Flora in our locality….I am on fruit processing too,actually that fruit was my 1st product which is a natural fruit drink in dole pack….when a synthetic soda drink co. Learned that my product sold like “ hot cake” they offered to the stores a cheaper price of the synthetic ( not natural drink) drinks to 10 cases +1 case per purchase of 10 cases so I was hard up of competting to their price cuz my produce is more on labor.What I did is Introduce,2 in 1 flavor of passion fruit with guyabano etc.Time came,that my pakaging was no longer competent to glass pkging,I stop & process another kind of fruit (again) which is green tamarind pickling(Fermentation)up to now. I still produce natural fruit juices out of our local produce incorporating to masa flora but on Orders only by our old customers…. Sir Randy,go on with ur dream/ goal anyways u r still young for me am already 70y.o.ur Bussiness has a big potential in the market nationwide .. God Bless😊

Yes, meron na akong passion fruit sa ngayon 1piraso palang ang bunga pero kapag nkapag umpisa na dw yan ng bunga tuloy2 na yan..maraming flowers kso nalalaglag dhil sa init at ulan..very healthy po ang Pf at tinatawag yan na fruit of God.

Passion fruit is not new naman sa Pilipinas but it is not commercialized tulad ng ibang bansa. Kaya hindi nakakapagtaka na mahal yan[One argues bakit mataas ang presyo]. At saka passion fruit hindi mabenta yan sa mga ordinary, mabenta yan sa mga target demographic na area ng bansa. Mostly mga urban cities like Metro Manila, CDO, Cebu, Davao kung saan merong mga malaking percentage of high income population na naghahanap ng alternatibong juices. Sa ganyang presyo, target talaga nyan sa mga grocery stores, restaurants, hotels, gyms, at mga facilities. Premium juice kasi yan, at saka hindi pa masyadong commercialized sa bansa. Pwede naman nilang ibaba ang presyo, but it would be difficult for them to produce enough units kasi wala naman silang production, at saka very small local farmers lang ang suppliers nila and they cannot produce ng tonelada if merong malaking demand sa market. More likely mag-aangkat sila sa ibang bansa like Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia o India. You see wala pang masyadong demand sa Pilipinas sa passion fruit juice, kaya ganyan ang presyo. If commercialized na ang passion fruit nation wide, then there would be ripple effect of large market demand, magkaroon ng availability ng regular to premium fruit juice. As of now, miniscule pa ang market ng passion fruit juice.
