Beans definitely blessed this tho let’s not forget. Lyrically this track is pain, growth, love, fatherhood, religion, etc. truly “Nothing Like It”. I was privileged to be entering my teens and through my hs school ages to have experienced Kanye West pre-Amber Rose, pre-Kim K, even pre-loss of his mom. One of my favorite artists of time. Legendary instrumental. ✅
C'mon cuz no way you didn't think this wasn't a Jus Blaze beat when you first heard it, this screams Blaze from jump. No diss to 'Ye but he clearly took a page out of the Blaze book.
@@digitallife8691 Anyone with half a brain would know this is a kanye beat ffs. My granny would know its a kanye beat and she thinks Kanye West is a place lol
@@thechef7298 lol no he's right, listen to this beat and then listen to mom praying. very similar drum pattern and sampling technique, after all kanye used to be the poor mans just blaze
This Is My Favorite Hip-Hop Song - Alejandro Roman - Nothing Like It - Dwight Grant Real Beanie Sigel [Produced By Kanye West] [Year: 2001] [Album: The Reason]
Heart of a street nigga ready 2 die If you ask him 2 live then he'll probably say why. Nobody knew how I was feeling inside Had to move solo wasnt feeling the vibe Running the streets had me feeling so tired Could see the pain if you look in my eyes Hopped out the box they had us in by design Remember times when my vision was blind. If you dont grind you dont eat Dont move then get cold feet Miss my niggas that ain't here N I cant see Doing things I wouldn't normally do likenik this ain't me. Fought back for my mind soul n body like that's all me. Live life to the fullest No there ain't guarantees
jeez there is absolutely no point tryna tell me what music is good or isnt because EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT TASTES. just because i like kanyes music, doesnt mean you have to like it... and btw hip hop is a mesh of all music, it has always contained samples from rock music, soul, indie, rnb and there is no magical rule that states what you are and are not allowed to sample... dude i dunno what you do for a living but i have work to do so lets just agree to disagree...
Man i came from less-thank god im blessed-niggas want me hemmed up locked down stressed-but i aced my test-as i man i progressd-it didnt happen ova nite i took small steps-from a boy 2 a man now i do it like a pro-how my lifes gonna end up i dont kno-till its my time i jus help my kids gro-i delt wit hate-pain made me great-no more dealin wit lames&chillin wit flakes-i dedicate 2 12 to jus get cake-my minds free now im in anotha place-u wouldnt undastan if u seen it in ya face...NOTHIN LIKE IT!
@TowardsMyFutureSelf FIrst I wanna say my definition of hip hop is obviously just my opinion. Rap is just rhythm and poetry. Hip hop is story telling that consists of the rhythm and poetry but also has other components such as wordplay and punchlines. Jcole is great with punchlines but not spectular with wordplay. I define wordplay as the ability to change the syllables in words to make them rhyme or to play off the syllables of words to get a clever statement across to the audience.
I just spit about life and tell u what its like-roll up this dutch and give it a light-thots aint shit so i givem the pipe-u just givem some change they be giving me brain-cause its clear from my stand point we aint the same-if its cold in the winter time u know how to bang-to niggas who still false claim-u aint built for the game-u cant stand the rain-so stay in ya lane-my story is untold cause i dont seek fame-just a plateau so you can remember the name
nah he's expanding as an artist, showin he can do more than one genre. nothin wrong with that... he can sample with the best of them, but he doesnt wanna be stuck in the past like dj premier an the rest of them. no offence to premier, he's an ill producer, but where is he? kanye is the future, an i aint even his biggest fan...
i'm from the gutter and i can give to you nasty so check your order i was'nt born confident this was struggle like staking if you want to bubble see i love to go get it and hustle it's part of my character trait like some like to be phony and hate i'm the first born but i had a big brother from the block and still i mourn
@CudosDSouthpaw2011 Examples of changing the pitch of syllables to rhyme was when eminem rhymed orange and four inch and said something about a door hinge. orange and four inch dont rhyme but at the right pitch they do and look at how the words within the lines rhyme as well door rhymes with four as well as inch and hinge. If you wanna hear the play off of syllables in word to make clever statements listen to my song cudos who am i
i got on my shit-i was told i aint shit-but that's your opnion so i put it on stick shift-u know exactly where im going wit this-wen i turned 15 i started sellin crack-i came from n.y. 2 norh cacalac-as a child i had hate on my back-i still do my thing despite the negativ feed back-i flipped packs-got shot @-then shot back-aint nothing like it wen your livin like that-now i'm a changed man&my life is square-i put my faith in god&blow my smoke in the air-so it's gotta b a reason i'm still here
