Good work. Best way ever to see Australia! I flew geo survey in the 90's all over Aus. We had Fletcher FU24-950 (400hp Lycoming) and our radalt survey height was either 20 metres or a more relaxing 25 metres agl. Had to be ag qualified to be allowed to do it. Up to six hour sorties, solo, like you. What you are doing is gruelling work but very unique in aviation today. One of the last real adventurous outback flying jobs, and without the hassles of charter passengers. Keep safe and please respect the rough air speed limitations. Slow down if you need to. Cheers
wow, 20m AGL is a thing of the past now, that is left for UAV's that low. Our minimums are 35m. I agree, much better than having to look after and entertain passengers. We certainly do slow down when its rough, too rough and we come home.
I saw an aircraft like yours, perhaps the same even, parked at Daly Waters NT about two years. Was there for a few days. I was flying my gyro from Newcastle heading north.
Mate how late into the summer day do you venture out with the 210. I live in outback QLD and cannot put up with it (PA22-150) much beyond 1000 hrs, especially in summer. Thanks for sharing 👍
When it is not stupidly hot we fly a second flight in the afternoon, back on ground by 3pm. Before xmas we were seeing 44 degrees, thats too hot without aircon !!!!!🥵🥵🥵🥵

That’s some crazy flying low over those mountains! I saw JEI in Northam a couple of years ago.
