Forgot to say that this is all just from my perspective / the people I asked so if anyone from Bath has any differing opinions please feel free to comment them so people can get a true representation of all the flats 💕
I just firmed Uni of Bath for this year! I'm so happy you reminded me of the student accomodation for 2nd and 3rd year because I was already stressing about finding housemates..
I am just finishing my first year in Westwood Quantock and I honestly love my room so much. It’s so big and feels like a mini studio apartment without the bathroom. The flat is also so good because there’s a sofa and tv downstairs where people can hang out but because there isn’t a lounge people tend to go to Polden or Quads to party so quantock isn’t as loud (but can be at times😂)
@@abieve8743 i don’t know about every accommodation but from what i’ve heard i think people party at regular Polden because it has big kitchens and lounges
Hi there, I find this video extremely useful even tho I have applied for the accommodations a while ago. This gives me a much clear understanding of all the halls at the uni. I will be studying at Bath in the coming year and I really hope I get my first or second choice.
I loved your blog as usual, if I were a student, you would have helped me loads. Amazing. Also loved that Irish voice.. such a gentle one. Guess who. Win Mobbs 😎 xxx
hey Mia! great vid. I am still deciding between solsbury/marlborough and woodland court. I like the biggger social space in woodland but don't know if 18 people is too many flat mates to share the space like the kitchen. Would love some advice x
Hello!! My personal preference would be Solsbury/Marlborough but I think all of them are great accommodations! I know what you mean about the 18 people, it could definitely get messy. A lot of people go to others’ flats to socialise so you always have that option. Overall they are very similar but I’d say the smaller number of people is better x
I've heard you say that you were happy that you were given Westwood instead of Eastwood and I just wanted to ask why that is? Such a helpful video, thank youuuuu 💕
Mostly cuz of the number of people! I had 22 flatmates but in Eastwood I would have only had 11 ish. I enjoyed being in such a big group. Also I think just after you’ve lived somewhere for a while it’s hard to imagine yourself anywhere else so in my head Westwood was better cuz I was having a good time. But I wouldn’t have minded Eastwood x
Not very clean unfortunately ahah! Just the nature of living with lots of people. And yeah I think it’s fine for people who aren’t as keen on drinking cuz you can just join whenever you feel like it, or you can always still go out with everyone and not drink :)
Such a helpful video thank you!! I was just wondering how many toilets and showers there are in Westwood, and if you often had to wait to use either because they were full? :))
I lived in westwood this year and there is 15 of us with 4 showers and 4 toilets which are split into 2 separate bathrooms (I am in the house type layout in westwood the refurbished one not the corridor layout) I have had to wait to use the toilet about twice, and it doesn't take long someone is literally just peeing lol and never the shower, they are super clean and I love it PS a perk is social trips to the loo with your flatmates when drinking, lol the girls will get that one
Really amazing video, all the editing feels very professional 👌. Just wondering, do you know how feasible it is to get a part-time job? Plus if you need your own pots and stuff for the kitchen or if that’s provided?
Hey, yes it is feasible to get a part time job defo. Weekends are always free. Yes you need to bring all your own kitchen stuff it’s not provided. And fridge space isn’t great tbh, most people just have 1 shelf each, but we managed :)
thank you so so much for this vid it helped so much!! i just firmed bath for economics and math this year. I was wondering if you knew anyone who came at 17 to uni like how was it how are the parties and events for 17 year olds entering uni? thank you!!
hello! glad I could help 💕 yes I know a few people that came to uni at 17. all the events / clubs are strictly 18+ but the underage people I know did manage to get in somehow!
hey there lovely!! I’m an international student coming in from a tropical country this september, and I tried to do some research but I couldn’t find any information about air conditioning. I only noticed a radiator in the rooms and google says its usually for heating 😢 may I ask if theres a cooling system?
@@jakemcgregor.611 id say it depends on how warm you get in the night. but for most people, worst case scenario you would need an open window with a fan pointing at it
also an unrelated note, do u think food and drink credit is useful? I can cook but I don't LOVE it and don't know if I am willing to cook all the time. Would love some advice. Thx!
Yeah I think it is useful and if you had it then you’ll use it. Although the food is not cheaper when you have the credit, you can buy all the food without credit just with money as well x
Hi just a question about Amber accommodation, when I went on to the app to check out the accommodation it said you get to stay in it for 51weeks so what happens after that? Do you have to renew it or?
I am coming to Bath this year for Masters in Business Analytics for Sept. 2021 intake. I am from india. If you guys know anyother student going to Uni of Bath this year do reply to this comment, would love to connect before going to a new country :)
Hi! Quick question :) Thank you so much for the advice - put in my Bath accommodation application in last night after watching this video! I was just wondering if when you were a fresher if you bought The Big Freshers Pass? If you did was it worth it and do you recommend it or did you just get the SU wristband? Thanks xxx
1 - they have all the prices listed on the bath uni website which I linked in the description 2 - I would recommend living on campus in first year to get to know people and socialise a lot. Any other year it’s better to get something outside the uni.
Heyy, was just wondering if you lived in mixed gender accommodation, and if you did, how was it? I tend to be very paranoid and I am just concerned if it's safe or not
Yes I was very lucky to get a lot of student loan. I know a lot of people who couldn’t pay all their rent with student loan so they got help from their parents or got a job :)

You don’t need an ac in uk. Just open windows and you might need a fan for like one month of the year.
