It's because the live versions are not faithful reproductions of the studio versions, that I nearly always listen to Editors live. I of course, also listen to the studio albums. So grateful for the Editors fan family who faithfully record their live performances. As someone who is (perhaps foolishly) financially committed to my horses and in Australia, actually seeing Editors live probably isn't going to happen.
Quite interesting listening to this and hearing different elements of the music than usual. Well pointed out for music geeks like me :D Love your descriptions!
Despite the concert starting at 1 a.m. and some minor technical problems, it was a great performance. I have the impression that EBM gave the band new energy and joy in playing.

It's disappointing they didn't play anything from TWOYL. It was the 10th birthday of their (IMO) opus magnum and they didn't even mention it :(((
