Exposed beams do tend to make the room feel low and the ceiling seem 'heavy,' but paint them white and the room brightens up and the ceiling seems to lift.
I can't believe how cheap the mystery house was, given it's essentially 4 houses, I'd have snapped it up with 3 other friends LOL The wife doesn't want rustic/antique, but most holiday places in that part of the world are going to be rustic/country vibes. She didn't want to do any work either which is what you'd need to do to get contemporary styles. I wonder if they're not just another couple who think running a holiday letting co would be easy.
The mystery house had the most value for money. It was also beautiful and waa the cheapest living enough room for updates and additions especially painting the beams and extending the kitchen.
This poor woman doesn't want to move at all, she's being dragged along by the man but hasn't told him she doesn't actually want to go. It's all come real now that she's touring the places. Must happen all the time.
She's quiet, not sullen. She smiles, she nods, she says positive things. She's not a grinning American or a back-slapping Aussie, but that doesn't make her 'sullen.' I'd far rather rent a holiday let from someone calm and non-intrusive than someone loud, over-gregarious and always in my business.
I wish we had been shown the property they purchased in North Wales. Not my favourite house hunters. I'd love to know how large the property they did purchase was considering this woman's favourite adjective was "small".
Really like the lady I just thought she was quite shy. Everybody on the quotes think she’s dreadful. I found the realtor really miss the market on all of them.
I rarely watch these through anymore because youtube illustrates a 5 min. ad on this one and then sneaks in another with no power for viewer to do other than exit. I watch youtube about 1/4 as much aa I did, including this program. Does this satisfy youtube's advertising goals. STOP CHEATING in this very strange fashion youtube.
They did seem a bit lukewarm ..... I used to live just down the hill from the property in St Breward. The village is on the moor, with pony trekking nearby, and a short drive to Port Isaac, the surfing beach of Polzeath, and Tintagel. Ideal for running the sort of business they said they wanted, apart from being a stunning part of the world. Oh well - each to their own !
This was so hard to watch. The lady was so unresponsive and ungracious to Nicki that I wonder why she was let on the show. I don’t need effusive conversation. But, something that approximates an engaging conversation for the sake of the realtor and viewers would be nice. Boooo, Goo.
She was perfectly polite and willing to acknowledge the good points even of properties that she didn't personally warm to. It's not the first time on this programme that they've shown the couple houses that were not right for them and the couple was underwhelmed by all the offerings. It's more the market's fault than the fault of the woman's personality. She's calm, warm, pleasant, open... just not shrieking WOW at every moment. She was quite open to the first house and had many good things to say about it; didn't warm to the second, but was polite, and was enthusiastic - if not naturally effusive - about the mystery house when viewing it from the outside. I find no fault in her.
Embarrassing that the host doesn't understand that 'waiting for the Resurrection of the dead' means 'at the end of the world,' not moments after death. It's as embarrassing a mistake as his servants bring food to his corpse is a superstitious mistake. That knight is STILL awaiting the Resurrection of the dead, since the end of the world hasn't come yet. Do some research, already.
Perfectly lovely couple, and the lady said directly and honestly at the outset that she didn't want beams. Nikki got this one wrong - perhaps Nikki thought she knew better, which I find annoying. The comments here show much jeolousy, and from women too. If the lady in the show was fat, wearing leggings/pyjamas and flip flops, I reckon she might be more appealing to some here.
Dying in friendship with Christ would help. Anyway, the host (or writers) clearly doesn't understand that the man is STILL awaiting the Resurrection of the Dead at the end of the world. But then... post-Christian Britain. What can you expect from people who gave up their Christian faith in order to lick the boots of an adulterous king hundreds of years ago?

Nicki is awesome! This show is so relaxing and im thankful theres so many episodes❤

Thought exactly the same thing.
I got that vibe too
Well, she is an adult speak up. I don't see her as a poor woman at all.
@@aq9714 and how quick are you to be horrible to women who don't give you what you want?
This woman did not want to move!
Poor Nicki! She tried so hard to help Tia couple, and I feel like the properties did help them realize what the really needed.
What made that sullen woman think she should go into hospitality?

What a pair of drones - don't the producers interview the applicants in advance.

She was a bore, I say.
They requested a contemporary style without beams but I think the realtor missed the mark. I’m glad they found what they wanted in Wales!

Without excessive effusiveness, a little more joie de vivre would have been nice from the lady buyer.

they may need to build
#1 - layout. is a nightmare #2 - love love love - too good for them #3 - paint the beams white...woman was a dud
Not good for Nikki to talk about walking dogs on the moor ! Well-behaved ones only, please, for the safety of the livestock.
Keep the lead on the dogs.
Loved 1, really loved 2, 3 was nice - wasn't a huge fan of the main house size wise.
I wish I knew what made them change their mind!

Totally agree 👍
I was going to suggest that maybe the reality of rural life was starting to kick in for her - but then they choose North Wales !
I think that she was lovely and maybe a little shy !

So smiling, nodding, saying 'wow, ' saying, 'very good, really good' 'impressive' -that's not enough? She should jump around, maybe? Scream a bit?
they dont realize what "modern" actually means-no character
It's what they were used to in London.
This couple is simply not sophisticated enough to appreciate these houses! 👎🏼👎🏼

Sir James Tilley, there’s Only one way to be resurrected and that is by asking Jesus to save you !😊
