Yes a how to replace the top foam/storm shield would be nice. It would also be the first video on TH-cam that has shown how to. It is a simple task but no one has shown it.
I personally have both of these masks and I have to go with the carbon, the proflex is an og but is outdated. The carbon mask has quick foam replacement and quick lens change system plus the option to have a more coverage option to fit the bigger face guys while still having the same flexibility the proflex has. If you have a budget go with the pro flex if you don’t have a budget go with the carbon sld or pro. Both masks are amazing!
Proflex is IMHO one of the few masks that actually works with glasses. I used to use them even skiing (just the goggle part). Most modern masks sit too close to your face, leading to your glasses fogging up.
I love my Zero Pro, but I'm finally getting back to wearing a Proflex again (occasionally) after many years... but the Carbon Zero is a much better mask in every metric (for me personally)... So I"ll probably wear the Proflex when I'm playing rec/mech, but my go-to will be the Carbon, until another better mask comes along.
I went from a proflex to the carbon.. Still have both and I feel so comfortable with the carbon compared to the proflex. The breathing is better because its not pressing the bridge of my nose as bad as the proflex. Crbn is so good.
@@ramqo I was just given a flex for Christmas from my best friend. I'm going to think really hard about giving up on it when the foam is toast. I don't understand gluing foam in 2023. Lol
@@thegrafxguy1 with GI frames you can always just rebuy it but with og having to tear out the old and replace it all is just a pain + usually more costly and time consuming
The deal breaker for me was that with proflexes you basically have to own two masks if you want the ability to switch from a clear to a smoke/mirrored lense at the field in a timely fashion. With the Carbon, you can do it in about 30 seconds and it comes with both lenses. Day to day cleaning is also superior with the Crbns.
I thought the same thing with my flexes but honestly after changing the lenses twice, the plastic wears in pretty easy and in my experience can be quicker to change ( I have both masks)
Bought a flex a few weeks ago and hate it, my nose doesn’t fit well in the mask and the form almost blocks my nose. Just got a CRBN zero and the fit is so much better with that, can’t wait to hit the field to test it.
I also have both. The CRBN is way worth it. It feels way better. Everything about the CRBN mask is better. But no way am I saying JT mask aren't good cause they second place in my book.
Hi, is the mask also good for playing airsoft, or are the holes too big for the 6mm bb's... I think that would be of great interest for all Airsoft players
I’m sticking with the og Jt mask. For the price difference you could buy 2 different Jt’s with different lenses. Plus the ventilation and hearing with the look is on point.
For me its the comfort of jt and breathability and people can hear me that wins for me. Carbon is great too especially with the easy removable lense. The jt's have made me bleed when ive removed the lense.
I want to love the Proflex but every single pair I have tried pinches my nose to the point that I can only breath through my mouth. I even tried cutting most of the foam around the nose area out of my Proflexes and they still pinch my nose pretty badly. The Zero Pro doesn't do that for me. I will say that some of the most comfortable masks I've tried have come from Virtue, but I'm not sold on their breathability.
Where’s the love for the e-vents? Never fogs, still used 20 years later, easy as hell to swap lens/clean, and such great vision. Still use it to this day over the proflex and the dye i series
If you have a beard the proflex is the way to go having it sit further from you face makes you able to breath , coming from the i5 i was having a hard time breathing from it sitting tighter to my face the carbon looks pretty good you get alot for what your paying, and its pretty cool the magnetic fan that you can buy for them
Im not sure what people expected. I mean it's a compassion between 30 year old technology and something new, as well as it costing 2.5x the price. Almost like comparing a DM4 to an M3+ so of course it will seem 1 sided.
Shes an oldie but goodie! But thats what like 2008 vs 2023 ish technologies? Cant flip up a carbon and smoke a cigarette on the field though while haveing full seal on the eyes Checkmate future Course i snipped off the sides and nose a little to fit my glasses in the proflex
Jt has been around a long time. If I was a betting man, I’d be willing to bet Jt will be around after carbon had faded away with the rest. Besides, how many ways can a person customize and make their carbon mask “theirs”? They all look the same.
So glad you made this video. I have been wanting a video on this

The CRBN Zero is the modern Flex. I love my flexs but have no regrets buying the Zero, fist modern mask that I've enjoyed the same as my OG flexs.

Important factor with the proflex(and eflex) is how far they sit off the face, which makes them feel a lot heavier than the Carbn and Push masks.
Nothing will ever beat proflex's, what you get for the price can't be beat.
Until you have to change the lenses.
Empire e-flex ftw
Great mask for big heads and breathes amazing, easy lense change
i fully plan on selling 2 masks to try one of these out (the Carbon). i just can't justify having 7 masks, lol!
edited for clarity
I made the switch since I wanted easier lense change and didn’t want to have to worry about my IZE becoming brittle haven’t looked back

E-flex it's just a spectre with quick change lenses

Only other thing about the price is how much value is the case itself. That definitely cuts down on the price difference
Hey Doug, was that the less coverage or more on the CRBN. Great vid thanks

Earthquake Ecuador and Peru
I own both and the jt proflex is way better. The crbn mask is tiny. Breathes well but the the jt just outperforms it in every way.
You know you can get a bigger one...
@@TheCrackary yup got the "bigger one" still tiny and not as comfortable. Alot of hard edges along the back on the side of the head

The carbon mask seems nice. My only complaint is that it's hideous lol
