November 14, 2010 will be the last day of operation at Fun Spot for the Sky Wheel. This is the oldest Sky Wheel in operation. October 10, 1960 it left the factory . It was 50 years old on Oct 10 , 2010. It's the nicest one still in operation. It will be sad to see it leave the park.
The tricks ones mind can play, i miss this ride along with the RAINBOW. when BROCKTON fAIR was in its golden years, these are the rides i remember. (GOOD TIMES).
The rides name was Cousin It because when I bought the ride in 1996 The Addams Family was popular and my wife (now ex ) hated the ride and always called it "It" so I named it "Cousin It". By the way, I used to have an Eyerly Sidewinder and it's name was "Thing". I loved my old Sky Wheel and hated to see it go. It was the best one operating and the oldest!

one of the most beautiful rides ever built. It is one cool and fun ride. At night it can be seen for miles. 90 feet tall
It adds so much to the looks of a fair midway or even an amusement park. Plus so much fun to ride!
I miss this ride..It was my favorite at the Kentucky State fair when i was a teen....yep i'm old..but still young at heart..lol
I can't believe I used to ride one of those when I was kid. The very idea of it scares the crap out of me now!
If I were on that ride I would be praying the whole entire time with my eyes shut!
