The only way I can justify having a tofu turkey for Thanksgiving is if you are an animal rights activist or something like that if you’re doing it for healthy eating purposes I say don’t bother you have 364 days a year to eat healthy. Thanksgiving should be that one day where you indulge.
It's not even healthy for you. You're more likely to get cancer, early onset dementia, and arthritis eating that garbage rather than beef and chicken. I'm not even making that up.
I mean, turkey is a healthy meat. There really wasn't a reason to replace it with tofu.
@@kodidane5824 true but you know how health nuts are. Always going for the healthier option. Like Diet Coke is healthier than regular Coke, but seltzer water is healthier than them both.
I was raised in a strict religion that promotes health. So we had Tofurky one Thanksgiving. And it got burnt. Luckily my Aunt made another one, and we put up a plastic sheet and balled up the Tofurkey and hit it against the wall…we got out butts beat for that. But it was hilarious.

I would politely pass on the tofu turkey and stick with the mashed potatoes, stuffing, a roll, cranberry sauce and other vegetable dishes.

I am not a vegan or a vegetarian but I have tried tofu turkey and there is no taste to it. It feels like I’m eating nothing at all.

@@Lady_Blade_WarAngelThe traditional Japanese tofu, sold in the shape of a block, in natura, has to be eaten at least with shoyu sauce - you can also add grated ginger and chopped green onions - otherwise, it's tasteless.
Those kind of foods who uses tofu as main ingredient have to step up their game if they don't want to hear the harsh truth that they're nasty.

@@DadoPanda Well after this episode, Marie never did start treating Deb better, even after Deb showed support to her. So honestly I don't think it was worth it.

Turkey is one of the most healthiest meats you can eat. Besides the sugary pies, most food served at Thanksgiving is healthy.

Funny reactions. Actually, I've had tofu meatballs and green beans combo at a vegan cafe and it was very tasty and good, meatballs were a bit like ground turkey instead of hamburger. Several other tofu items that were also well liked by our team at the cafe's buffet tables. The cafe was very well supported with a regular group of customers. So don't knock it till you try it.
I guess the spirit of thanksgiving is to force your family to eat something that they genuinely hate very much despite the fact they already tried it and despised it.
