- हाल ही में असदुद्दीन ओवैसी ने अपने सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफार्म फेसबुक पर एक पोस्ट की जिस पर कई मुस्लिम संगठनों ने उनसे नाराजगी जताई है. असदुद्दीन ने अपनी पोस्ट में लिखा कि "मुगलों से भारत के मुसलमानों का कोई रिश्ता नहीं, लेकिन ये बताओ कि मुगल बादशाहों की बीवियां कौन थीं?"
Recently, Asaduddin Owaisi made a post on his social media platform Facebook, stating that "Muslims of India have no relation with the Mughals, but asked who were the wives of the Mughal emperors? to which many Muslim organizations have expressed their displeasure.

- The real name of the Masjid is Jama Masjid, Banaras. It was called Gyanvapi because of the locality Gyanvapi where the Masjid is situated. The Gyanvapi used to be a pond which was filled up by Buddhist ruler Bimbisara to construct a Buddhist learning centre. Jama Masjid, Banaras was the main Jumma Masjid where people from Banaras (Varanasi) came for Jumu'ah and Eid prayers.

- 1. H. Makhdoom Shah Tayyab Banarasi (Died 1632/33, buried in Manduwadih, Varanasi, used to offer Jumu'ah namaaz here. He stopped coming after the Imam added the name of Akbar in a Khutbah (sermon), since Akbar was considered an Apostate by many because he came up with DEEN E ILAHI. Akbar declared Deen e Ilahi in 1582 AD, which means this Masjid existed before 1582 AD. So, "Jama Masjid (Gyanvapi Masjid) existed even during Akbar's era.
2. In 1048 AH (1632/1633 AD), Emperor Shah Jahan started a Madarsa 'AIWAN E SHARI'AT'. Its building was just beside the Masjid. Later, the Madarsa was shifted to the Main Masjid, then it was stopped. In 1922, a triangular stone bearing the name Aiwan e Shari'at 1048 AH was found in an excavation proving the Masjid was there in Shah Jahan's time.
So, it is clear that Aurangzeb didn't build this Masjid and it existed before him, his father, and his great-grandfather Akbar.
• WHO BUILT JAMA MASJID, BANARAS AKA GYANVAPI MASJID?
- In a book called Tazkiratul Muttaqeen (REMEMBERING THE PIOUS, 1875). It is stated that during the reign of Sultan Ibrahim Shah Sharqi of Jaunpur Sultanate (1402-1440), his chief Qazi Sadar Jahan, had a student "SHAIKH SULEMAN MUHADDITH".
Tazkiratul Muttaqeen states "Suleman Muhaddith built huge Jama (Jumu'ah) masjids in several cities. One Masjid built in Banaras is still there and Jumu'ah Namaaz is offered in that Masjid till today (till 1875)".
This is also narrated in the book, Muraqqa e Banaras, Tazkirah Mashaikh e Banaras by Abdul Salam Nomani, Imam of Gyanvapi Masjid. The same is repeated by Abdul Batin Nomani in his book Gyanvapi Masjid.

Answer: No, Shiv ling (and its base, Aragha) have already been found and put into Adi Vishweshwar Mandir and Vishwanath Mandirs.

- The ruins around the biggest claim of a Mandir, but they are not from the Mandir, instead they are ruins of:

On 15 Rabi-ul-Akhir (2 September 1669), the emperor came to know that following his orders, his staff had demolished the Vishwanath temple in Banaras".
