Mileage depends on how far up you hike and what parking lot you end up at. If I remember right, the entry reservations are parking lot specific. There were some that were closer but they fill up first in the reservation system. I'd say it was probably a few mile hike from the closest parking lot to the views start getting good at the lake.

How long was the hike and can you park closer so you don’t have to do the whole hike but still see everything?
