Everyone saying she should be happy that he stepped in and stood up for her and saying that that’s what he’s supposed to do doesn’t get the point of her feelings. It is not because she’s spoiled or use to taking care of things herself. The fact is that she felt completely useless because no matter how she was defending herself the other princesses just wouldn’t stop and just kept going at her yet LBY said a couple things and they all just shut up no matter what and didn’t dare talk back or go any further. Shaoshang just wasn’t happy because no matter what she did or said they just wouldn’t stop instead it took someone else to do it.

Девушка сказала генералу ясно, что не потерпит власти над собой и не позволит никому подавить её волю!! Она показала генералу, что не из тех, кто ищет мужской защиты и покровительства!!

Those girls are just jealous that she bagged him instead of them. And let's face it. They only want him for the power and bragging rights they'd get from him. Because I'm pretty sure that when it comes to power and prestige, he's only 2nd to the Emperor. And favoured by him too. I have a feeling that's why Consort Ruyang was trying so hard to push for a marriage between him and her granddaughter. So she can have that power in her hand. At least in her mind.
