Salaam, I have taken notes of the 10 principles for memorisation. Happy to share for whoever who needs. Perhaps a brother can help pass to the brothers & I can help with the sisters. Jazākum Allāhu khairān.
I find in Britain there seems to be more help in reference to one’s Deen. I am a revert born in New York City. I have not found any feasible in person classes for women interested in studying Qur’an. I didn’t revert to Islam to play. I am very serious, in cha Allah. Online classes are not the same. How can I come abroad to study, in cha Allah? How do I find the proper information and find safe, and female friendly studies in Britain, in cha Allah? I find the brothers are more so catered to than women.
I only know online ones but high quality ones. I’m a revert too Alhamdulillah but online is best. We do have a college for adults in London, they run a 10 week course
Come to London sister bi’idnillaah we will help you. There are so many places where you can study with other sisters, we have places like Madina college, Ebrahim collage, imam Jazari institute, imam shatibi institute and so on. May Allah make it easy for you wherever you are.
Alhamdulillah Allah azza wa Jall guided you to His deen. As a reminder, it is not permissible for women to travel without a mahram, according to the saheeh hadith. If you try to learn with sincerity and obey Allah's laws, it is better than violating the rule of women traveling without a mahram. So sister, do your best with your situation and please, for Allah's sake, don't travel without a mahram.
10 Golden Principles of Mastering Memorization- Ust Abu Taymiyyah 1. Purify the intention Ikhlas 2. Relationship with Allah, Leaving Sins. 3. Work hard. 4. Choose a time and a place that is suitable (being alone subh when hungry). 5. Know how to read before memorizing 6. Repetition, Repetition, Repetition. 7. Raise your voice when repeating 8. Small consistent hifz is better than a lot that will leave the next day 9. Continous revision (Muraja’a) 10. Using the explanation of what you are memorizing
Allah subhanahu watala preserved our DNA strands from mutations by proofreading and fixing any errors by the complementary strand. But He (SWT) created a chain of thousands of Hafiz across generations to preserve Quran from changes till Allah (SWT) retrieve Quran shortly before the tournament day
Salaam Br., is it okay if my mushaf for memorisation is the one with word-for-word translation? I like knowing what I'm reading. Or do you recommend the pure Arabic mushaf? Jazāk Allāhu khairān.
*Not Growing A Beard Is A Sin For All The Muslim Men!* The Prophet (ﷺ) has clearly instructed to grow the beard and to the shorten moustache in Sahīhul Bukharī and Muslim. *Is Growing A Beard Just A Sunnah?* No, it's not just a Sunnah (not sinful if not kept) because the Prophet (ﷺ) said in an authentic Hadīth (Hasan) that Allāh has Commanded him to grow his beard and to shorten his moustache. (Al-Bidayah Wan-Nihayah, ibn Kathīr) *Can One Shorten The Beard? (The Opinion I Follow)* Yes. We can only trim what comes underneath a handful of one's fist since the companions such as ibn 'Umar, ibn 'Abbās and Abū Hurayrah would do so. A major Tabi' also attested that the companions would trim what would be underneath a handful of fist. The aforementioned is opinion is of Sheikh Al-Albānī and he has elaborated upon this. Kindly refer to the Sheikh for further evidences.
We came to know thru authentic salaaf salaheen ilm that we cant write on mushaff but on fahm qurans ok. Kindly check from sheikh abdurazzaq hafezullah or ypur asbaab ilm
{ یَـٰنِسَاۤءَ ٱلنَّبِیِّ لَسۡتُنَّ كَأَحَدࣲ مِّنَ ٱلنِّسَاۤءِ إِنِ ٱتَّقَیۡتُنَّۚ فَلَا تَخۡضَعۡنَ بِٱلۡقَوۡلِ فَیَطۡمَعَ ٱلَّذِی فِی قَلۡبِهِۦ مَرَضࣱ وَقُلۡنَ قَوۡلࣰا مَّعۡرُوفࣰا } [Surah Al-Aḥzāb: 32] Based on this ayah I believe it is best for us women to not recite in front of men. Im no scholar I dont know much on this topic but as women I think it is best to preserve ourselfs and not cause fitna among men.
*Making Du'ā With Everyone After The Prayer Is An Innovation!* Never did the Prophet (ﷺ) and his companions raise their hands together after finishing the Wājib (obligatory) prayer and supplicated to Allāh. *Why Should We Not Do This?* The Prophet (ﷺ) said: _Whosoever does an act which is not in accordance with us, is rejected (by Allāh)._ (Sahīh Muslim) He (ﷺ) also said: _Every innovation is misguidance and every misguidance is in the Fire._ (An-Nasā'ī, Sahīh) *Isn't There Something Known As A Good Innovation (Bid'ah)?* There is no such thing as a "Good Innovation" which is also known as Al-Bid'atul Hasanah (البدعة الحسنة) in Arabic. The evidence is the Hadīth above which states "every" innovation is misguidance. Another firm evidence is from 'Abdullāh ibn Mas'ūd (a major companion) who entered upon a group of Muslims sitting in circles with rocks and pebbles; making Dhikr of Allāh in a manner which was not done by the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ). Ibn Mas'ūd scolded them all. (Sunan Ad-Dārimī, Sahīh by Al-Albānī)
