Life would be a lot simpler and better if we all still drove tractors like that there would not be a service van parked on every endrig
I used the very same subsoiler back in the eighties on a ford 7910 !
The 6600 was and still is a terrific tractor.

I love the 6600 and 7600 with the bubble cab. And I remember as a kid I used to visit a farm that had three and a 5000 with a standard cab. They were all shod with Kleber tyres like this one is.
Not sure why you would run a single leg subsoiler through alreadt worked up ground? Seems a bit pointless but still a great video!
The farmer across from us had one - also "R" reg. Still think they are one of the best looking tractors ever...

What is the purpose of sub soiling?
Land has a tendancy to get compcted and it creat a "pan" of very dense soil. Yhis can cause problems for crops and drainage. The subsoiler in the video is a single leg and subject to the type and size of tractor you can pull subsoilers with more legs. This type of subsoiler can be used as a mole plough as a form of temporary drainage.
