Great video, just happened to click on it and to my surprise you were talking about the KLM Embraer. I flew from Porto to Amsterdam in that plane in mid November 2021 and was impressed by the plane. Loved the plane and the video, it brought great memories.
Great trip report! The E2 is definitely a huge upgrade on the previous E-Jets. Looks like a great product and experience. Looking forward to trying at some point in the future. ✈️
Have to agree it is an awesome plane and I think a nice comfortable and classy fit by KLM, without being over the top. I just flew the 195-E2 with KLM from Amsterdam to Prague and back about a week ago in Business. The Embraer E-Jets have always been a favourite for me and the new series with bigger cleaner and quieter engines and remodeled cabin, are very cool. You just get the sense of an efficient, powerful and stylish product. Really enjoyed it and KLM staff were great too.

Amazing your flight! Also, two years ago, I'd like to report my flights, flying by Embraer from Manaus city, Amazonas Brazil, in the middle of jungle to Panama city, Panama and vice-versa... I'm very impressed the airplanes weren't the new model E190-E2 but I had good feeling, sensation, being stronger, being very safe...😃👏🏾
Such a great vid for an excellent regional jet! I've flown with Wideroe its little brother, the E2-190 (but Wideroe's seat-pitch is knee-crunching).I am looking forward to flying the E2-195 with KLM. It's not easy though to plan in advance a E2-195 flight because they change it daily and you can't know if you're gonna get the E2-jet or an E-jet or even a 737..So far they fly them to VIE,MUC,WAW,GOT,BGO and ARN but at random days and order..The E2-jet has great range and it's shame KLM doesn't use it on longer thin flights..Binter flies the E2-195 from TRN and VCE to Gran Canaria
The ‘dry sandwich’ is dutch bread, it is a thing that dutch people eqt every day and to us it is not dry. For foreigners it may seem dry because they are not used to it.
Flying a lot from Amsterdam within Europe, I already liked the EMB 175 and 190 a lot, better than a 737 or, some years ago, a Fokker 100. But I like this Emb-195 E2 even better! I fly a lot over Amsterdam. By the way, in my experience only about 50% of my KLM Cityhopper connections use the bus. I even checked the other people boarding, as I could just as well have been one of them. I fly to Munich regularly.
KLM.. (and I say this from personal experience, having flown them in all classes of service...)... Is a carrier that's simply superb in every way ...be it their staff at City offices / airport ....( especially Amsterdam... where they go out of the way to make passengers feel comfortable. )... and again on board...nice clean and often newer aircraft...very helpful on board crew ....and nice on board catering ....even if it's a snack....!!! They as a carrier try their best...( Especially during these crazy times,)... Don‘t know what‘s so special about it. Just a regular cabin trolley and a personal item (laptop bag). Both even under the maximum sizes of the airline allowance. Just have a look at KLM‘s baggage policy: www.klm.us/information/baggage/hand-baggage-allowance
I had the KLM sandwich on a flight Ams - Aal and I enjoyed it a lot: Good quality bread and cheese. Maybe that was because mine wasn't dry at all. Perfectly suitable for 1 or 2 hour flight.
Well, the slices of bread are just too big in comparison to the amount of cheese and sauce on the sandwich. That's what makes the sandwich dry. Just reduce the thickniss of the bread or increase the amount of cheese etc. and it wouldn't be dry anymore.
I totally agree, bus boarding sucks. Being a Frankfurtian, I can tell you that you don't have to fly on a winged greyhound bus to get the apron tour. In Frankfurt, you can even get that when arriving on a fully loaded 777-300. And then they send just two buses, with one being for the people in the front exclusively. \o/ Soon I'll have a FRA - AMS and much later AMS - FRA on KLM Cityhopper, can't wait to see if it is one of the new Embraers or an older one.
beautiful plane. Have a soft spot for these Embraer planes. Hope Embraer will succeed in the long-run. Sadly, a lot of airlines would not consider anything that's not an Airbus or an Boeing.
Did a lot of travelling 2004 with work and had to fly via Schiphol nearly every flight going from Glasgow to Europe. Great hub for a stopover but as you say the walk between gates can take some time. Planes were mainly Fokkers or Airbus319
beautiful but it would have been so nice just to peacefully climb out through the clouds without the music. Sometimes music takes away. Thank for posting this.
We did a transfer through Amsterdam, is was from Norwich to Amsterdam and then another flight (I forgot where to) Our flight was delayed I think so we had to wait like 5 for the next flight, as we missed the original one.

Thank you. Many airlines, even low cost airlines, provide literature, magazines, an inflight map, games etc. via the inflight Wifi and their app on such short flights. To name some: Lufthansa, Eurowings, Air France, Finnair, Norwegian and many more. Just the availability of inflight Wifi, even if it comes with an additional charge influences this point of the rating. None of them was available on this flight. That‘s why 0/5.

From a viewers perspective, I think it’s ok to board the plane via a bus. The Embraers are pretty small and will take up a lot of space if they also need to use the regular gates. They could upgrade the Cityhopper ramp with a small terminal and regular gates. But I think that would also take a lot of space.
Yes indeed. There is no way they can park the same amount of aircraft with an additional terminal building, it would also definitely increase ticketprices.

I flew klm : lots of problems: on the way back from Muscat (oman), we got only a sandwich in economy for a 7h flight (landed also in Dharan)
Qatar airways is nr 1, emirates also good (food & beverages like Stella, belgian beer, no heineken waterbeer).

Personally I wouldn't pay the extra for a one hour flight. I did a return trip with KLM in 2019 from Amsterdam to Stockholm and I rate them highly.

Nice trip report! The legroom only is worth €10 for me. The dry sandwich is a real pain, especially on long haul flights.
Thank you. On long-haul flights KLM is serving full complimentary meals. So it's very unlikely you will get these sandwiches on long-haul flights.
