    When we say photography is not about the gear but the people behind the camera is proven by you.
    To be honest, in my modest opinion in every video, all your photos are great no matter what you use.

    This brought me back memories. I had one of those, took it everywhere because it was so small. Only stopped using it when it began shaking more than allowing me to take photos (same problem as Matti Sulanto).

    So awesome! I am probably dating myself but even before THIS, the original all silver sliding-cover Cybershot was advertised in the US by rock band Aerosmith’s own Steven Tyler of all people.
    I had one, and that was the first in a very ling line of SONYs for me, (I shoot SONY to this day.). Fun video Robin, enjoy that SONY.

    I love when you post videos showcasing old gear. We all get a huge amount of G.A.S. when the newest stuff is announced and many feel that in order to produce great images/videos that we need the new gear. Older tech is still amazing and very capable in the hands of an artist. I have been using a 50 year old Minolta lens on my GH6 and I'm blown away by how sharp the lens is. Thank you!!!

    • @felixtang3711
      @felixtang3711 ปีที่แล้ว

      The camera do not have too much change for a slow photographer in last 20 years. So there is no problem to continue to use old camera for casual photo taking.
      There is a lot of change in tracking and video recording in last 10 years. It is good for content creator / youtubers.

    Just bought a Oly Mju 400, as well as a underwater house for it. The Mju is somewhat well used so not going to pop it into the underwater house due to fear of leakage. But its is anyhow an interesting combo. Old stuff is great fun to horse around with! As to the wobbly IBIS, its UICM and I like the look of the picture, even if made by accident.

    Robin you are luckily to buy this old toy. In Hongkong and mainland China, the Sony T70/77 cost almost USD100 if the quality is good.
    I get one as well but the LCD display have a bit wearing. Nice to find out the fun of old camera.
    The problem for this one is to find the old Sony Memory Stick.

    • @robinwong

    Another joyful bit of photography Robin.. I enjoy watching almost as as much as you do when making them. I have to say I'm a bit stunned by all the capability and features of that little Sony,,especially for it's time. If the Sony NEX 6 APSC camera had the stabilization and the touch screen that this little guy had I may never have fled Sony for Micro 4/3s. I first time I saw how the touch screen and the dual stabilization worked on the Panasonic GX8 I was hooked... well,,and the lens quality too. Keep up the fun shoots,,,we'll be watching!!

    Hi Robin, I liked this video exploring old tech. The scene would pan to the final area of interest, then the scene would crop in and show the final photograph. However, I think the scene before it was "Cropped" (maybe it wasn't cropped), looked a lot better. Just personal preference, and to say that you framed the subject really well. Also, very surprisingly, the scene with the blue sky and clouds in the background: the sky and clouds were evenly expose, as was the foreground. This is something that cell phones can still struggle with!

    • @robinwong
      @robinwong  ปีที่แล้ว

    This is nothing new. 32 years ago, my Canon L1 camcorder had the ability to take still photos. I could select ART in the menu and choose from various effects - Painting, Pixellated, Wind, Stained Glass, as well as Solarizer. Each produced a different and dramatic effect, but only in photo mode, not video.

    • @robinwong
      @robinwong  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you missed the point of the video completely. Either that or you did not watch at all. Your Canon can't replicate the "art"
