- Today I'm taking you through what's in my home birth kit as I'm preparing for my second water birth! Preparing for an unmedicated home birth is such an exciting time and getting all of the materials together can help bring some peace of mind and preparedness. With my first home birth I prepped my home birth kit with a lot of the same things, but didn't have a few things that I wish I had on hand. As I prep for my second unmedicated water birth, I'm sharing all of the things down to the alcohol prep pads that we'll have on hand for me and my birth team to utilize during my planned home birth.

Get the chord bans instead. So much better for umbilical healing! I love them way more than the clips.
The straws are just for drinking water. They put them in there so if a mom is in the tub or whatever its easy to get them to drink water if they need it!
Hi! Love your content! I found your channel about a month ago when i was 8 months pregnant with my 4th and i am currently 39+2 🤰 we are planning a home birth and have "everything we need" ready to go except the birth kit is still in the box where they mailed it in. Should i have it out and ready for them to use?? This is my first home water birth after 3 traumatic epidurals so i am definitely looking forward to it!
How exiting for your first home birth!! I just kept everything in the bins and the midwives setup whenever they arrived.
