Fishtown, Philadelphia

This video was filmed on March 16th 2024 and features Fishtown, a neighborhood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The history of Fishtown begins in the water. Fishtown is located within the triangle of the Delaware River, Frankfort Avenue and York Street, three miles northeast of Center City. The area got its name from early settlers, who were mostly English and German fisherman. Kensington’s shad fisheries employed working class folks who lived in the small houses of Fishtown. Today Fishtown offers great new bars, restaurants, music venues, studios, galleries and more. Newcomers collaborating with the neighborhood’s longtime residents sets Fishtown apart as one of Philadelphia’s most exciting neighborhoods.

That's how it all keeps on changing. Areas get renovated and the appearance of the streets gets a totally different look immediately. I guess you won't have to wait 10 years to see how the change keeps on going here.
