God, I love hand drawn characters. They have so much more character in their designs compared to 3D models. I'm still saddened that 2D characters are rarer these days. I miss seeing hand-drawn work in the theaters. I'm aware that Spongebob had hand-drawn animation though that's pretty much it this year other than indie films.

Love Mushu! He's so funny and his design is beyond awesome. Re-watched the movie with Mushu and you in Disneyland Paris last summer. It's still as awesome as the first time I saw it :D
I really enjoyed this, learning about how you broke down each of his body parts and where the origins of his design came from. Learning about that process is fantastic and it's great seeing how you bring him to life with little details and good design. Thanks for doing this for us mere mortal folks, I love hearing from the master animators. Was there anything you'd have incorporated into the design of Mushu if animation of the character wasn't a concern, or was he totally designed around the whole point of him being animated?

mushu was my favorite character from disney animation, l love his style of animation which is snap in a floaty way

Actually, I never realized, he is a snake (and based on other animals). I thought he is a small dragon...
