Nice review! It was my favorite fig this year so far. Curious if you got your scion from Harvey? I did and for some reason never taste any strawberry in it but more of a fruit punch/almost tropical. It also seems to be very vigorous for me too as a graft. Great one to have!
You’re a gardening celebrity and it’s an honor to hear from you! Thank you for your videos - they have helped me a lot. My DSJG comes from Steven Winter (fruitnut on figbid). I’m not sure where he got it. These tasted like strawberry but with some additional complexity that I can’t describe well. It’s definitely a couple notches above the classic strawberry-tasting Adriatic. Flavors can evolve, so maybe mine will taste more tropical next year. The Pastiliere (Raintree) cutting I got from you has grown well. I hope to record it next season.
Ha. 7' tall = medium vigor. You're just showing off at this point neighbor. Great video. Thanks for sharing. I'm hoping you'll do an end-of-season round-up.
I just sold a DSJG last week, but I don't have any more this season. Keep an eye on my figbid listings in March. www.figbid.com/Listing/Browse?Seller=jesen84
One of my favs. I probably won’t get my tree to ripen them this year after a cold and wet spring in the PNW. I ripened them in both 2020 and 2021 in a microclimate.

@@jesen84 Glad to hear the cutting has taken off. Definitely excited to hear your take on it next year. Happy Fall!

:)
I been looking for my own DSJG but they are hard to come by.
Yeah, this was the variety that cost me the most. I'm thinking that it should be cheaper next season as the fig becomes more common.
@@jesen84 are you sell cuttings or rooted cuttings. This one and the sbayi are ones I would like to have
