I just found out something that people might be curious to know. One of the managers at D&B told me that their company specially-commissioned with Marvel and raw thrills to do an arcade game like Injustice to apparently compete with it I guess. This was MCOC based on the mobile as Inj was on its own mobile.

There is actually the same game that you can download. You have to scan the barcode to download. The girls name you didn't know was gamora. The cards I got were daredevil, doctor strange, falcon, wolverine ( x- 23 ), yondu , colossus, vision, loki, red hulk, hulk, ant man, war machine, magneto, classic spiderman, spider gwen, luke cage, star lord, captain america, mister sinister, blade, falcon, yellow jacket, sabretooth, punisher and storm. I actually played that game in dave and busters today!

It's a little tough to know what the content creators have learned, since you left this comment two years ago roughly and the video was posted 5 years ago roughly. That's interesting that you got 25 cards out of your recent play. I can tell by the ones you mentioned also that it was series 2 that you were operating with. Did you ever do series 1 like this video shows? What do you think of the completely different art between the two different series. Of course series 2 only encompasses 25 new cards in addition to the first 25, but the all new art is cool.
I have no idea why Kevin had zero clue 5 years ago, and I mean zero clue, about the fact that Kingpin is more majorly a Daredevil villain. Hopefully he's gotten with the program in the intervening years. LOL and scandalous that this couple had barely seen any Marvel Movies 5 years ago. I wonder when they played this game in February of 2019 as this video shows exactly what they had seen in the MCU at that point.
Did anyone ever collect (or “collect” that we know of) all of the cards from Injustice League? I’m surprised at how well that game still seems to be doing, probably because of the ability to add in characters and giving players a possible advantage.
I have about 44 of the cards from serious too, not dividing the count between hologram, non foil or duplicates. I have a fair amount more than that if you consider duplicates. And along the same guidelines, I have 79 series 1 cards. There's a few places here in Oklahoma that have both versions series 1 and Series 2 of the game and some with the regular and Deluxe size cabinets in
I noticed this is the only fighting game at local Dave and busters. I feel like it was made to be easy for normal button mashing players instead of having complicated combos.
Exactly , if they want to learn more, research the game, learn the characters or events or subjects within the game and then you can look them up on comic database sites and go to the source material if the interest gets that deep

But yeah in addition to what I said earlier, if someone really wants to learn the subject, don't only watch the films, invest in learning from the POV of the actual Source material. The movies are a combination of the usual earth-616 MU and the ultimates universe, creating a distinct MCU, I.E.. the the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Coming back to what you said in the video, you say you have to catch up on the movies, but if you don't know War Machine, then you have to go back pretty far to catch up, before 2012 when Iron Man 2 came out, cuz Jim Rhodes was in there. Lol and you said you felt bad, that you don't know half of these characters, but do you think it might be more than half? And something else you said, you really don't remember Agent Venom Flash Thompson, Kev? Good ol Power Man, Luke Cage hero for hire with indestructible skin. So many fun things in the video.
Team Marvel represent!!! Love the game! I think I'll try to collect as many of the cards as I can while we can. I agree with Kevin. It looks a lot better than the Injustice arcade game. We played that and collected the cards but it seemed really easy tbh...
Personally I thought the Champions game felt very much like Tekken, and I preferred the game play of Injustice better on the arcade when it was configured for series 1 cards when it didn't have the different stages of the difficulty levels, cuz it would just give you random enemies to fight and that aspect was more fun. If they kept the difficulty levels but gave you random and not always the same characters you're fighting against, that would be so much better for series 2 I'm thinking.
@@jasonpye4649 It got so easy though and the AI for the game was pretty sub par. I think I stopped before they introduced the different difficulty levels so I might have enjoyed that more. Marvel looks like it might be a bit more fun as a fighting game (I hope, I forgot to play it the last time I was at Dave & busters. I won over 5k tickets and was a bit happy about that.) But to give a fair assessment, I really have to try it myself. I feel like it might be like Injustice because Shan was doing better than Kevin (Sorry Kevin! You still the man!)
I felt Champions was really quick and that if you used any of the attack buttons it would hit and basically take out the other character, if you were playing against the AI, as long as you blocked by pulling the toggle joystick downwards of course, you would generally do okay. I love the aspect of switching out between your three characters on Injustice and felt there was more strategy involved in the attacks and the blocking was so much better.
Yeah that's what I was assuming as well, cuz if players mostly frequent arcades, they might not know about the mobile version beforehand. I had no clue. I knew about the comic mini-series from the last couple years also called contest of Champions, which is where the game gets its look and art feel from and I knew about the three issue limited series from the 80s also by the same name , but I didn't really know the game for consoles which then went to mobile kind of like Injustice.
So this is like the special ed version of mcoc? The mobile version isn't 1/10th this easy... Would've been nice to test skills on big screen with controller... This is a silly game to get even sillier champs that do nothing
The films are pretty good and fun IMO, but my favorite version of the team is still going to be the original from 1968 and into the 70s, which remained the basic configuration for the GotG series in the early 90s.
I love both Marvel and DC but I choose Injustice over Marvel because Injustice is created by the same creators of Mortal Kombat (NRS), and in my opinion, Mortal Kombat is the best fighting game ever created.

Lol I've heard that exact sentiment before about her TV show, and since I hated the character from Inception and thought she was completely pointless in the books, I wasn't about to give the show a chance to irritate me. LOL
spoonsarefun That’s why I didn’t bother finishing JJ. The best villain was in season 1 and they wasted him in the end (won’t say spoilers) and I never watched the last two seasons. I like JJ, but I felt they should’ve used other characters that deserved a show like Moon Knight (which we are getting, but it won’t be dark like the other shows since it will be on Disney+ and not Netflix).
