Another tip similar to painting your furniture is contact paper! I've gotten so much stuff for free/cheap and just cover it with super cheap contact paper. I got an IKEA shoe holder thats normally $199 for $20 because the white paint was super chipped. I took the top off and covered it in $6 faux marble and the drawers/side in a $10 roll of faux walnut and it looks SO high end. Thanks for all the tips Kiva!
@@KivaBrentI recently heard that the vinyl that they wrap cars in works so much better than the contact paper, easier to use… I saw a lady did her frig with it, it was absolutely stunning. She used a fun color. I’m tempted to try it on my garage frig😂 before trying it on my china cabinet that I inherited. I think I can get it to go from great granny chic to transitional 🤔 what do ya think😬 I’m thinking a high gloss nude color.
Tableclothes can be used for curtains or basic chair upholstery if you have basic sewing skills. We added blackout fabric behind trimmed tableclothes for my son’s curtains.
Thanks for the tip on spray painting knobs/handles. I was about to start looking at kitchen hardware, but now I'm going to spray paint the ones I have.
Good info, things that are practical for me. Not always the case with your tips. Thanks for thinking of the less fortunate. BTW, love your hair short like that . And great earrings.. You are looking great. Also thanks for speaking a little slower so us slow people can enjoy what you are putting out. Congratulations on baby.
I saw somebody use a fabric shower curtain and cover over an old piece of framed art from the thrift store and staple it on for new large art very inexpensively🥰
Yes, I have a plaid linen tablecloth that I use as a bedspread on my guest bed. A textural shower curtain, too for the same purpose. Both thrifted for about $5 each. Great for the warm months.
I literally went out and purchased the exact night stands that you have with the same hardware because I loved the look so much! I got them and put them together and WOW!! They are huge and look VERY EXPENSIVE ❤
I have a bed skirt but I do not use it The reason being that it catches dust and the dust remains because I don't wash my bed skirt every week like I do my linens.
I rushed to Walmart after watching your great Fall finds at Walmart video. Love Love Love the pumpkin I purchased on your suggestion. My Walmart sold it for $11.97 but an extra $2.00 was OK with me. Love your earrings.
All are very good ideas.I thrifted most of my furniture. Then I thought I would buy something new. I made a big mistake. Some of the newer furniture is trash unless you can afford high end peices. I found quality items that have stood the test of time from the sixties and seventies that are still in very good to excellent condition,.
Hi Kiva, love your videos! I have a big design dilemma that I hope you can help with. I have a huge, 56 inches X 89 inches seascape, framed wall canvas that no longer fits my current decor (afro/boho). Frame is great quality. Trying to figure out how to repurpose it. Any suggestions?
I saw your video on the Shea butter deodorant. Did you know that it has aluminum in it and aluminum may cause breast cancer I had breast cancer and was told not to use any deodorant with aluminum in it so maybe you should check some things another people too.
Kiva you showed the most expensive stores for those nesting tables, I don't think the dollar store is going to compare 🫣😂 I've never even seen furniture in those types of stores.
Can I add a tip some times just cleaning ur furniture if it leather or cloth. They get dirty over time when u clean them they look like new. Another tip I got a tray bought scrabble tiles and spell out special words and turned over the tiles to have spaces between words. 🦩
I love re-arranging my furniture and shopping in my own home. Things look new in a different space.
Exactly!!
