In survival it is good but you will need a good terrian generation for this like in my survival world desert village is 6000 blocks far from spawn and jungle is 3000 blocks wow so yeah you will need to explore alot if you get unlucky
But i am a smp player so i dont like that update when you join a smp you find a village and make underground base and get stacks but it will hard to play with this update getting stacked will be difficult in smps so i personally dont like this update that much i think we have to depend on enchantmet table if this update comes
