In this video, we continue looking at resistance. We explore resistors. First we look at why we might use a resistor in a circuit, then we look at what is meant by an ohmic conductor. This is critical stuff so expect to see it in your exam.
This video is based on the AQA spec. If you are following a different exam board then you should check your specification. The Amazon link above is an affiliate link. This provides a small commission which helps to support freesciencelessons. The cost remains the same to you. If you prefer not to use this, you can search Amazon for the Freesciencelessons workbooks.

I cant resist watching your videos...

damnnnn that was a good one
I am currently thinking of a potentially different pun

big funny
I was so frustrated with my notes I was ready to cry, this video really helped now I finally understand this thing so thanks
Miss Bad me😔
I want to give huge props to this guy. I never listened at school and only realized this thing might affect my future a month before. I stayed up until 4 am some days and managed to get an 8 in biology 7 in chemistry and 9 in physics.
how did u revise plsss what methods did u use??????/
how
also learn things like independent , dependent and controlled variable meanings as they are bound to give u a few marks, those marks could be a difference between an 8 or 9.
This topic is so hard:((
you can do it put your back in to it!
literally ://
i agree
@@ange7679 tell us why, show us how
@@snipbit-1095 look at where you came from, look at you now
I see this man more than the outside world
the smile at the end gets me through ngl
hahah yeah !
what a beautiful young man thank you shaun
Is that his name huh
Collectors Haven his name is Shaun Donnely, lol
you're a legend. thanks for all the old spec videos as they were really helpful. you taught me more in 2 weeks than my teachers did in 2 years!!
i agree
without you i will be failing science, TYSM
Trust me same
Got my physics GCSE in a few hours. Thank u for the help!
How did you do?
@@speedbird1186 your 4 years to late to ask mate

@@omni-man5503 i still wanna know how he did lol
i love you man, saving my time
and energy. Try wearing casual shit someday. Bless you
CMON PEOPLE HE NEEDS MORE LIKES
Man im still watching these amazing videos even after 3 years!!!
Sir you just one handedly saved my entire physics grade
Physics test today, good luck everyone!
me toooo rn
thx you too @@maramsenan4200
I love watching your videos....it explained everything in two weeks time better than my teacher does it in two years.
Thank you, these videos were really helpful.... and a great coninsidence to have them ready before my yr10 exma tomorrow!
Good luck on the real thing tomorrow
5 years later i wonder how ur doing !
I swear to god I will like this comment.
...👌😂😅
turned my wifi off and liked it
damn you have to be that sad to trick people into liking your comment
This man is single handily dragging me through my physics gcse
this man has saved my life - a true legend
This legend literally saved me. Thank you so much. :)
Thank u so much I had so many notes and this really summarized the most important things to know for this Topic. Thank You
This video was really useful!! Thank you!
Thanks for this! So useful.
you're a lifesaver thank u
love these videos, and these are so much help for my revision
This helps out soo much man. Thanks
feel bad for those who haven't found this guy yet.
Thank you !!! It helped me a lot !
We love some last min rev
Are you making a level videos ?
Helped me so much!!!
Thank you for the video, you are clear and concise. From Britain
The Naked Wizard he’s from Britain as well
My goat💯💯
what if the temperature wasn’t constant in an ohmic conductor? what would the graph look like?
Sir, this is a bit late but your tie is lovely , if only that was my school tie :)
mad watching before tomorrow
can you please do dissipation of energy?
why does he look like that guy in every highschool tv series which every aunty wants to date with :)
Is this the same as the required practical?
Hi Sir. When you increased the current, would you have to use a variable resistor at 3:20? If so is that not the same thing as the required practical?
if you use a resistor to decrease the current flowing in a circuit would that mean the resistor would require more energy to make the same amount of current flow than the power source can supply, so instead the total current is decreased ?
He’s got his blazer off ladies!!! (And gentlemen )
Are current and resistance inversely proportional??????
Are current and resistance inversely proportional?
Yes as long as the potential difference does not change.
3:17 Why is the resistance 100ohms if 0/0 is not 100
Just a couple hours till paper 1 now
if I is directly proportional to V , does it mean that I = k(V)?
This question may seem as irrelevant, but is (k)in this context the resistance?
Sir, Do we have to know how to solve direct and indirect proportions for this Science 9-1 specification
You're right but you don't need to know it
Last Min?
when can we get the workbooks?

Nice sir
the blazer has gone what have you done Shawn #freesciencelessons #noblazer
thankyou
Physics test tommorow
nearly there
this video should be kept before the video "resistance" imo
My exam is tomorrow and I am here because I couldn't understand this topic
HE LOST THE BLAZER !!
Oh my frick what happened to the jacket
blazer = lost
Doesn't the resistor symbol meant to have a an arrow going through it
faizan khalid I think the one with an arrow is a variable resistor
whos reddy for exams in a couple of weeks lmao
I use very indie rat to remember it
nosta blazer oe
I love you shaun please marry me
who is doing hs
wtf is a varible resistor
a component in a circuit that is able to change the resistance
A component that can change its own resistance, making it higher or lower and is very useful e.g. can make a light brighter or dimmer
