If I understand correctly, the rose pleats are another piece of satin fabric...pleated lengthwise and pinned to the single pleated fabric below with the last pleat of the rose...i hope i was clear...and i hope i understood correctly!

The Rose pleats didn't make any sense to me. Are you using another piece of fabric??
Yes
it is only one fabric, as with all of the patterns it is folded in half making it 2 layers. For the Rose Pleats they only grab the top layer.
