Thank you so much, that's very kind of you. It's just a slow process building up that subscriber base etc. I really appreciate your comment.

Really enjoyed this piece, the details on the Kestrel are very lifelike! ❤

Very nice. I like how you added a little pop to the eye because the photo looked rather flat in the eye. Nice soft blending in the body too. Funny but I have a kestrel too and was thinking about doing it on white Pastelmat from a sheet. I have a pad too but it seems that the white sheets just are a bit more easier with pencil and especially if you want to use a scrapping for detail or run it over with a real nice opaque white it works well also. I love the softer newer colors in the Luminance and Lightfast too because they compliment the Polys really well. Thank you

Thank you so much, I appreciate your comment. I'm glad the eye turned out well, that's probably the most important part of any animal drawing. I am hoping to draw a larger kestrel on Pastelmat as well, but thought practicing with the colours at a smaller scale would be a good idea to do first.

Beautiful drawing! Do you find that all the pencils work well together?

Thank you so much. Yes for the most part, the only ones that I struggle with sometimes are the Derwent Drawing Pencils, they are much waxier than any of the others and I have to take more care when laying down colour with those if I'm combining them with other brands. I prefer to get some colour down with a different brand first and use the DD over the top.
