  • Burnout and idling with American racing headers with cats 2” primary’s and catted x pipe. Car also has the halltech syatems carbon z06 intake. Other than intake and exhaust car is completely stock except for the 20” rotiform KPS 3 piece wheels and Michelin ps4s tires.

      Thanks, I agree I don’t like my cars stupid loud. It sounds tough at idle but doesn’t scream until your full throttle.

    Yeah... I’m most definitely getting some ARH’s installed I have a corsa sport full exhaust with the double helix X-Pipe.. I may get the catless option though just so I can get a extra bald eagle or two screaming out the pipes

      Yeah my buddy had Castles’s arh with corsa extreme on his lt1 c7 it was unreal how loud it was, I prefer the catted x pipe because the tone you get from them as the cats actually change the sound. If you want it as loud as possible though you will probably want to go catless, that combo will definitely release lots of bald eagle. 🇺🇸

      The only reason I like the catted c pipe is I think the tone is a little better and I didn’t want the Fuelly smell in traffic from Castles’s, my buddy had Castless and it sounded great though too so I think it’s all preference

    Test drove a stingray and realized that with bolt Ons and a cam is all I’ll need to be happy

      Yeah I had a stingray when they first came out and made the jump to the z06. If I thought the lt1 was a great motor. I had some bolt ons on my car and it was great as a driver, but if you want a powerhouse the z06 is the move. The lt1 just doesn’t give you the violent power like the blower motor does.

    So I LT4 swapped an IROC camaro. I want this sound but not 100 on the exact set up. Stock motor with headers x pipe and cats from ARH stock muffler? And it sounds like that!! Is it the headers and high flow cat that really does it because I love that sound just confused how I get it

    This sounds really good with the cats. Any major fuel smells when at idle or stop lights? I heard that’s an issue with catless setups.

      None at all, I always found the opposite to be honest, the catless seem to give gassy smells more from what I’ve noticed in the cars I’ve been in, that was actually one of the factors that made me want cats

    Wow, so this car has still cats and secondary cats with the 2" American Racing headers system? Sounds like a non cat version. I'm just asking because we guys from Germany will get killed here if we drive without cats 😂

      The car has one set of cars that are high flow cars welded into the x pipe, so it no longer has 2 sets of cats like factory

    Within the near future I’m going to be throwing a set of 2” headers onto my car, did you notice any low end torque loss?

      I didn’t notice any loss but I definitely noticed the gain in the top end

      The cats hold back power a bit but I think it’s worth the 1 hp, the exhaust doesn’t get the fume smell at lights etc, and personally I like the exhaust tone. If you’re looking for every ho you can get though I’d just go with the catless

      ​​@@serviceonehvac7123I'm trying to get the same set up for the same reason as yours. This video proves catted versions are still loud AF. I'm just curious how much louder is the catless. The difference doesn't seem that significant and worth the smell.

      No the car did not need to be tuned however we are going to tune it as there is some lag in throttle response right off idle, I’ve been driving it with no issues for over a year but i am going to tune it to see if we can improve the throttle response. As a side note I did the same combo on my 2015 z51. I never tuned that car in the 4 years I ran it modified and never had a single issue, I even broke the rearend in that car and the dealer warranted it with the headers installed. In all honesty I don’t feel the lt1 needed to be tuned but I do feel the lt4 will benefit from tuning. It’s going on for a pulley and tune soon so I’m going to make another update video sometime this month

      @@serviceonehvac7123 Thank you very much for getting back to me and for all the great info. Your car sounds outrageous! I have a 2019 Z06 and was considering doing this mod. I've heard conflicting views on whether or not to have it tuned and I figured why not ask somebody who did it. I also wanted to keep the cats like you did so that the car wouldn't be too obnoxious. How is the car under normal driving, any drone? Thank you again.

      Would you say putting a ported throttle and a tube would really make a difference. Or just a tune after the headers should be good? I feel like after I put the exhaust and the intake a tune alone with those bolt ons would make a difference in the throttle lag

      Firehawk1218 the drone isn’t bad at all and I have factory mop so if I put the car in stealth mode it’s basically silent which is what I do on long rides

      Vettes have 2 sets of cats, primary cats where the headers are and secondary is where the x pipe would go

      Roriform kps 20’s front and rear, i had them built through a dealer called wheel lab that spec’d them out
