Sure we lost a lot, and he will always be resented by Brisbane people for Cloudland and Bellvue Hotel, but as a whole he was great, I think about the Barkly and Landsborough Highways were dirt blacksoil roads until 1974 - 1976. Queensland was actually trapped in time before him, economically - - he put it into the future. I'm not saying he was perfect or free from corruption but as a history nerd I can see the economic impact he had on Queensland. A lot we have in Q today is because of his policies.
