Hello from Bothell WA, thanks for making this video! I'm working on a Strada AV 3 group and I had some questions. I've been playing with the programming and I've found just that if I program the same pulses between the three heads, that I get a different output amount. The difference without a loaded puck is fairly close (~ 1 gram of water give or take), but they are quite different when loaded with coffee (all shots were weighted 18.9-19g.) But I've seen a difference of 2-4 grams when pulling shots between the group heads. We use an auto tamper so I feel like the packing should be similar shot to shot.
What factors could lead to a difference when I pull shots from the different group heads?
Is it smarter to use program each group independently? (We are only using 1 bean right now, so we are only scratching at the potential of what this machine can do.)
(I also imagine that there is a large amount of user error on my part as I've only been using the strada for about 2 weeks now, so it's my own ignorance, let me know!)

Hi John-Paul, thanks for your question! One thing you can try is an open flow-rate test -- run the group for 30 seconds without a puck into a cup on a scale and see what your variance is. +/- 1 gram is acceptable. If you're getting much more variance than that on the flow rate test give us a call, or call your local service provider to troubleshoot. If you're using 1 coffee, programming each group the same is probably fine (certainly simpler). You could try individually programming them to your spec rather than copying the doses across through the programming menu. I hope that helps!

@@LaMarzoccoUSA Thanks for the answer. I've done a couple tests over the last couple days and found some issues with volume between the groups. The pulses between two of the groups were spot on give or take a gram over 30 seconds but the other head was consistent in itself but off about 15% in total volume from the other two heads.
We're in contact with our service provider now. Appreciate the help!

My KB90 is not counting pulses in one group. I already changed the pulse meter and pulse count stays in 0. Checked impedance in the flow meter and looks good. Could it be a problem with the flow restrictor? I mean water seems to flow perfectly through the group. Please help!

Ok, I really need help here. We just got a new PBX at our coffeshop and I am trying to program my AV to certain yield. It is all magical until I want to add pre-infusion to the mix. If I do so, I get up to 10g less of espresso in my cup. Any tips on how to approach the AV+pre-infusion programming?
