Usually Chanyeol and Sehun put their rap at the "service" of the lead and main vocalists...this time around it's totally the contrary and it's so great! I mean this 1st line of Suho with deep voice at the beginning...all those lines from Xiumin!it feels so different but so fresh at the same time!i really like that!!❤❤
The first time I watched the MV, I was so happy that my bias Chanyeol had so many lines but then I got sad that I did not hear Kyungsoo as much. But then, everyone is saying that they are giving an oppurtunity for others to shine and I could not agree more.

I know there's a lot of focus going on right now about Kyungsoo's lines, but I love that Sehun, Chanyeol, Xiumin, and even Kai are really getting an opportunity to shine here. I'm sure Kyungsoo will return to a prominent focus in the title track. Going back to that lore theory video though, now I'm rethinking Carlos' idea about the 'main' EXO universe affecting the multiverse. When you mentioned the time reversing in Let Me In, and the clock reversing/possible Groundhog Day loop here, my immediate thought was, "I wonder if the universes ARE affecting each other in some way."
So, Chanyeol was totally trolling us about the Monster thing... you know he's laughing his ass off at us right now! What choreo Park Chanyeol?! This is just y'all vibing to the groove! 🤦♀🤡🤷♀😄

D.O. is my bias but I understand what they were here. They wanted to showcase the other members. The main vocalists took a backseat and they let the other members shine!

Thrilled to hear Sehun (my bias), Xiumin and Chanyeol shine here. It’s a lovely change of pace. The refrains with Chen and Suho (my fav EXO vocalist) are fire. Yes, 70’s, chilled, bass-heavy vibe. I love it!! Thank you for your reaction ❤
Absolutely love this vibe and i feel like this is the type of song that Exo themselves enjoy listening to anyway… i was so shookt with Sehun opening everything and Xiumin and Chanyeol getting their much deserved moments… i was thinking just like Lucky One MV doesn’t have real choreo in the mv, but the choreo in performance is very difficult and energetic… we can expect same from Hear Me Out?

Antria, girl when I tell I had outer body experience when my bias wrecker Sehun starting the song!!! It was evening!!! Then Chanyeol, with his beautiful self and voice is 🤯!!! Suho and Xiumin are so cute and vocals are so good. Kai is just the cutest teddy bear and this vibe and style of the song fits him so well. Lastly, but certainly not least, the three trailblazers and main vocalists: D.O., Chen and Baekhyun!!! These three amazingly talented and extremely versatile singers made this song so good. The harmonization between them and even in their background vocals, just make the song so perfect.
Overall, my boys, my babies did the damn thing with this song!!! I live for this type of song and genre!!! Everyone slapped!!! Whether they had lines or not!!! EXO IS THAT GROUP!!!

I love when Sehun starts an Exo song. It just gives me the best and warmest feeling. Pride and adoration. My bias deserves all the lines he's been getting in these two songs.
Anitra, you're the first person I want to share my thoughts with. I feel like in this era EXO are collecting the memories: in Let Me In they combined For Life, What is Love, Loveshot, Sweet Lies (remember Baek floating in the ocean?) and many more. In Hear Me Out they returned to Kokobop, Power and DFTF photoshoot... Either they've come a full circle or it's a new start and a new version of what we've known about them....
I wasn't able to cry as I was out again, but my eyes were watery and I couldn't stop smiling. The song is beautiful, the imagery is out of this world! My favorite scenes are in the photo booth, so happy to see my babies smiling and goofing.
Side note: why do they give such lines to Kai??? I'm blushing everytime I hear that line 🤭 I knew he would be in both pre-release MVs but not in the title, but then I heard that Kai wouldn't be in the second MV. So glad the rumor was false!

This song and MV surprised me in many ways: I feel this song has more of an Exo SC vibe. When Sehun started the song and saw kai in the MV, my heart was so full.. I wish kai will be in the title song too. I also notice that D.O. do not has many lines here, but his addlibs undeniable always adding color to exo songs.
I am usually not into EXO's storyline/theory just because I couldn't keep up. Too many things to remember, and I can't.
But this particular MV, makes me think that this happens right after kokobop.
1. The location is the same.
2. The scene where Chanyeol is washing some clothes, there is one shirt that looks like what he wore in Kokobop.
3. They are all having a hangover (?). Maybe because of all the "kokobop candies" that they took the day before??
Although the Main Vocalists work very hard in this, when they are not the focus singer, they are there working wonders in the background, there is a noticeable difference in the distribution of lines, the would-be-main-vocalists-in-any-other-group vocalists (i.e. the rest of them) shine. Calling this a feel good song is an understatement.

The best thing about this mv is seeing them all together having the best time 😢. That's all I could ask for. Yeah Ksoo had only 2 lines, but that gave the rest a chance to shine, especially Sehun, Xiumin and Suho. Not to mention vocalist Chanyeol! About the "10:45" thing, i found something unlikely to be it but still kind of interesting. I just googled "10 45 meaning" and this came up:

Sad to see a pattern where it is usually D.O.'s lines that get decreased when others get more lines. Like I have no problem with the other members getting more lines, but it just seems to me that it is always D.O.'s lines that get decreased or made just made ad libs compared to the other vocalists which isn't really fair.
The song itself is very exo-sc coded which isn’t my thing it’s just one tone throughout the song it’s bland no one want them to experiment or whatever but at least make the song enjoyable to listen to. I guess it’s chill and they looked cute in the mv so I will let my personal opinion about the song itself go
What I dislike tho is how kyungsoo getting the least lines while sub-vocals and below average vocals getting more lines than him. Not only kyungsoo solo music keep getting delayed because of the group which would have been fine if he actually getting respected by his own group and by his own fandom that don’t really care about him

I have a theory, well a couple of them, about distribution of lines. My theory is that DO and Suho are so busy with other things that they are doing that this was an easy fix for lines in the song. I also think that said lines are just what a lot of people are saying, Let the main vocal line step back and let's feature the others. Which I think is great, because they love to see each other shine bright. As always, we don't know the why or how of anything going on. (Thanks SM) You are always welcome to voice your opinion. It is interesting to me to actually hear all of the different opinions. I do disagree with the disrespect aspect of what you said. I see them as a family that are tight knit, and in that dynamic, you give and take. My opinion, all of them have wonderful vocals! They are just different from each other. The colors of each of them are like rainbows, just like the video. Thank you for your opinion. It brings dimension, layers, and a different way of looking at their music. I totally watched the mv half asleep with one eye open lol i did not expect this but it is a little grown and sexy. I started dancing in my bed lol. I love that everything is in that lower range it is so good. But yes i love hearing so much of the other members of this track. Kais voice on this song is so perfect. I cant wait for a dance practice or the live performance to see the full choreo.
