    $550 USD is still too much, skip the affiliate link. AE has them for under $500 as configured, or under $400 with 16 GB / 512 GB. One of the only decently priced mini PCs with OCuLink, other than the GEM10.

      For me, GMKTec is actually the only option to buy these mini PCs. I don't pay customs or VAT for them. And that I would save 50-100 USD on Aliexpress? Well, in the end I would pay much more and I would still have a lot of work to do. This is probably the only company that will solve the shipping for you, including everything, fast delivery and the prices are more than OK. Some competitors don't even offer such prices without shipping, customs and VAT :)

      Mee too. I got it for 380 euros barbone. Put 64GB Cruical 5600 ram and 2TB Kingston KC3000. So together it was about 665 euros (tax included) what is about 686 usd. Also after 11.11 it would have been 20 euro cheaper with bigger coupon.
      Btw, if you set the system fan start pwn to 70 from 130, it will be much more silent. Because the system fan will run at 1000 rpm most of the time, instead of 2000 default.
      The best value machine is still the M7 6850h, because it can be bought around 233 euros barbone, it has around 80 percent performance of the K8 plus.

    They frequently have sales. I purchased my one in October using a code that was coming down to $399, but with the early BF sale, it is now $389 / £309 barebone. I received it in 8 days in the UK. They used Yodel, and there was no import duty in my case. Phew.
    It works flawlessly using Oculink + Onedock v2 + 330W SlimQ + RTX 4070 Super.

    I was debating between this and the Aoostar gem12 for the oculink and decided to go with this one from amazon due to the price (32gb +1tb $400 with coupon and credit card offer)... I'm coming off a beelink ser4 4700u from 3 yrs ago so this will be a definite upgrade...
    plus, having easy access to the internals and translucent top which is begging for an led strip won me over.😋...
    I've seen extensive benchmarks and breakdown from other youtube reviews and it is definitely a powerhouse....and an external gpu puts it over the top...

    Cyberpunk 20277 without Frame Gen at 1080p low at 65W = 87fps and at 18W = 57fps. Its really helpful to limit the wattage with these APUs. At 30W you get about 80fps but over 30W the APU will produce only more heat.

      @@Mageoftheyear I'm a never buy the latest generation, $520 is my sweet spot.
      Already got my Kado Portable Monitor, the look when I whip out the system on the HSR trains in China. Not sure If I should wait to just buy it when I get there, and use DEX on my S24 FE until then.

    this vs a M4 mac mini for productivity

      @@Desert_Person I use the m4 Mac mini just for productive. I have used mini PCs as well and the Mac mini is just quieter, runs flawlessly and better supported than the mini PCs. Granted you will not be able to play games as well on it or if your work requires PC specific apps.

    AMD 370 HX is already being used on many latest Mini PC's and even handhelds and there are rumors about more powerful 395 Max chips coming real soon. And if one is really not into ultra tiny PC's they can build more powerful ones with discrete gpu's... There are plenty of builds on youtube that touts as PS5/PS5Pro killers that are actually good gaming PC builds...

    For this price I rather buy a new Mac Mini for U$599, higher performance and at lower cost.

    • @GeeksAndGamingNetwork
      @GeeksAndGamingNetwork 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      lower cost? are you sure about that? you can pick up this mini right now for $389 barebones... if you throw in the 16gb of ram and 256gb of storage that the mac mini gives you, you still come up way under $600.

      @@GeeksAndGamingNetwork I wish I could get the M4 Mac Mini barebones. The ETA Prime has a video with M4 Mac Mini performance, faster than this, single core 3726 (this 2559), multicore 15004 (this 13048), also shows the M4 Mac Mini running AAA games with good results. Of course we can compare, but maybe the M4 Mac Mini is more value for our bucks, I think!

    • @GeeksAndGamingNetwork
      @GeeksAndGamingNetwork 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@goatgamesofalltimes8201 but in reality, it's not...the cheapest mac mini is $600 and that comes with 16gb of ram and 256gb ssd...even if you wanted to upgrade to 512gb of storage it will cost you $800 and they still give you 16gb of ram. apple are just scam artists as this has been their tactic for years. they give you less and charge you more cause they put it in a pretty package...
      those benchmarks are just synthetic. look how they fair using actual applications and games. the difference is minimal at best...to get a real comparison between the 2 with 32gb of ram and 1tb of storage it would cost you $1,200 for the mac mini...again, the k8 plus with those specs can be had for $400 or so...and if you wanted to upgrade to a beefier gpu then you can spend a few hundred more on a used gpu and dock for the k8 and still be way under $1,200

    • @GeeksAndGamingNetwork
      @GeeksAndGamingNetwork 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@goatgamesofalltimes8201 more value for your buck? Granted the m4 chip is a bit faster and more efficient but for $600 they are giving you just 16gb of ram and 256gb of storage, which you CANNOT upgrade. If you wanted more storage you would have to buy the next one up from there which only gives 512gb of storage and STILL gives you 16gb of ram...
      mind you that 16gb is the minimum requirement for most triple A games these days which you will have to tweak your games to it's lowest settings and still hope they don't crash. Value for money? Not even close.
