I went with the Keeley Hydra for several reasons - 1) smaller footprint 2) good price 3) better stereo sounds 4) multiple presets 5) the option of "room" reverb Of course they all sound good - can't go wrong with any of these!
This is a busy category. AC Noises Respira, J Rockett Mr Moto, Mas fx Expanse. Tremolo and reverb are just resoundingly beautiful together. Some others are like Milkman F stop and Keeley electronics Verb O Trem. Love it.
I like the hydra best quite honestly. For rockabilly I would probably pick the tre verb out of the three but outside of them I would probably pick something from source audio (best spring emulation on the market)
I have owned the all. I kept the Flint. The Fender is ok, expected more from them. The Keeley is good sounding, too complicated to use live for me. The Flint ticks all the boxes.
@@-_AjB_- Sorry no, I've never tried it. With it having an actual tube in it I'm sure it's something special. I went with the Tre for the 2-4-1 of the added reverb. It's digital, and the mtg is analog. I'm thinking about the mtg for a new project.
Great demo and breakdown! Very useful. Fender sounded surprisingly good. Flint was the most mellow/natural sounding, and the Hydra did have the best plate. Hard to choose! I had the Flint for a little while, loved the tremolos (haven’t heard a better one since) but I couldn’t get the vintage reverbs to work with my sound. Will have to test the other two. 🤘
I am glad it was helpful! So the only better tremolo I have personally tried was the empress trem2 (very soft and mellow characteristic which I prefer over the flints more in your face character). I just recently sold my flint and replaced it with an empress reverb but I do miss the plate and room of the hydra!
Very nice demo mate but The Tre-Verb has a very good drip on 63 & 65 but unfortunately you didn't use the blend and the knobs properly to show what it can do.. Fender all the way imo, they are the men that invented all this stuf,so they can't go wrong and for the price is the best choise.. Cheers & keep Rockin..

Same exact reasons I ended up with the hydra!

Thanks for sharing! I have been wanting to get my hands on the Milkman for some time now
Got the verb o trem does it make sense to upgrade to hydra ? Not really about the stereo - anybody some compare till now this two ?
Great comparison but it’s very clear the flint is the winner.
The flint is such a great pedal :) I am making a standalone demo for it this weekend
Great review. Which of the 3 do you like the best? Are your conclusions still the same? Also is there a favorite for rockabilly?

@@guitarpedalhub Thanks, I kind of like the Tre Verb.
Would love to know if anyone has compared the tre-verb and the mtg tremelo?
Also curious!
Not sure how you are getting the drip out of these because I've had all three of these and could never get one out of them.
Probably input/output gain differences?

Yeah flint is a classic for sure
I sold my Hydra to replace it with the Tre-Verb. What can I say Fender knows Reverb, and tremolo.
It’s a great pedal!
Would love to know how the tre-verb compares with mtg tremelo. Any insight?

Cool to hear! I just put in an order for a Hydra. I really only ever use a hall and a plate verb, so gonna see if it can stand up to my Bluesky.
The Tre-Verb almost sounds mono? At least compared to the two others.
Strange.. It was all recorded in stereo
Very nice demo mate but

I did say the tre verb was the drippiest and most affordable option of them all in my conclusions section!
@@guitarpedalhub yes mate you said it that's true..
Strymon Flint all the way!!!!!!
Gotta love the flint!
