What did you do to mitigate thew rear derailleur cable under the BB?
Every bike I've ever done has the cable guides in the way and had to be ground nearly flat to slide the motor in.
personally I stripped the plastic housing off and filed a slight groove less than 1mm deep at the lowest part of the bottom bracket, and piled in some grease
Oddly, I started doing.
Doesn’t really matter too much, no one switches that gear anyway. They put it in third and leave it there forever.
What battery did you us and where did you get it ?
Hello, I am interested in "tongsheng tsdz2b" 750w, but I want to know if there are brakes for 700c racing or road bike type handlebars, or bullhorn handlebars, the brakes that cut off the current from the motor for greater safety. Can you please explain to me if they exist? I also want an accelerator and I see that they don't sell batteries... what battery should I buy? Thanks
They do sell batteries, brakes with sensors exist and you can't find them on AliExpress together with a thumb throttle
Currently starting the same project on a full suspension mountain bike. Because of the rear swing arm you are unable to use the fixing bracket that prevents rotation of the motor in the bottom bracket. Have you had any issues not installing the fixing bracket on this bike? Have you done anything to mitigate some of the risk?
I had zero issues, just make sure to tighten the lock ring every once in a while
So I did the upgrade. The motor wants to rotate ccw when looking at the right pedal crank. So the motor wants to rotate into the downtube. My lockring did eventually work loose when riding and the motor nearly broke a hole through the downtube of my aluminum bike frame. To address this I placed a shim between the downtube and the motor. 3d printed it out of ABS filament with 100% infill. Then tighten the locknut well.
@@dannyd976 good job 👍
@@DAZprojectsI'm same, never fitted the bracket on 5 bikes, never had an issue
Did you get the 350watt motor ? Is it powerful emough for mountain biking , whats it like up hills etc ?
I got the 36v 350w version and think it's great, goes up 20% + hills with some effort from the rider, I do have a 42tooth cassette on the back but I got a 52t on the front with adapter for the offset
You convert Normal size motor or 100mm ?
Normal size
Would it be possible to adapt this motor to a 90mm frame? Do you need a different axle allso?
You should really be using a torque wrench on those cranks
Not everyone has that kind of money for a rarely used tool.
The cheap ones are often off by over 20%.
For cheap: Better to use a luggage scale and calculate your lever length to get the right torque.
@@Shishou_Shi you can just get a beam type torque wrench that never needs any calibration.... I've had mine for 10 years. The click type from harbor freight is decent I use the 1/4 inch click type to rebuild small engines(rod bolts) with no issues but I had the 3/8 click type and never got it to work properly
@@stevenreese7746 harbor freight?
Never used on on the 5 motors I've fitted , never had any issues
Wheres the kit? its not even on the website that you linked
Hi, the mid-motor kit is in stock now. Thanks for your support.

Nice but expensive.
That is not expensive wtf you talking about
@@urim225 389 Euros is not cheap at all...
@@cosmefulanito5933 Bafang costs a 1000€ so it's not that bad
It's one of the cheapest on the market especially having a torque sensor.
@@Random-ed2xf The market is really expensive then.
