Ugh. You can see from Lucy's expression that Kate is asking a lot of her to hide their relationship. She is willing to compromise, but honesty and straightforwardness IS Lucy. Being secretive also means that Lucy has to hide who she is. It's going to culminate to a situation where someone is going to get hurt, really badly. This reeks of heartbreak. I hope Kate can break out of her shell and be brave, otherwise she is going to lose Lucy.
I think this is just going to reveal the relationship between them due to their line of work and the premise of agents getting held hostage on this series

Not saying Kate is a control freak, but opening up and being vulnerable infront of people where she is the outsider can be uncomfortable for some people. It's a very interesting series, I really like that they put a female lead as the SAC of the Hawaii team Jane Tennant is a great character in my opinion
