For the splice, I saw one where you go up about a foot from where the hollowcore ends and insert the mono there, then tie off/serve with the excess hollowcore. Is there any difference, would this save on braid?
Man, again, I love the dedication to the low profile splice you offer. I don't think the tuna will see it 50 yards from the sardine or green back mackerel used for bait. However coming back through the rod to the real it makes all the difference in the world. I have a question about the glue. It is just regular clear Gorilla glue?? Not fast drying or anything else?? I enjoy the cameras opticks for tieing that knot.

@TeamHardLife nah, no biggie, just came to my mind that if spooling without connecting braid with fluoro line, will be more easier to respool. But consider that you already have sorted out on your own, will not be a bugger for you.
Yes, I have to unspool it then spool it to another spool then back onto the reel to get the mono back on top...it's the only true way for me to get the exact top shot that the customer wants with the type of mono they want...

It is a clear gorilla glue and takes a little bit to dry ... but isn't a hard or brittle dry more like a plastic dry maliable

Ah ok I seen that knot similar to. Snell knot and also seen where they have that special tool now to help with that knot

Yes, I have to unspool it then spool it to another spool then back onto the reel to get the mono back on top...it's the only true way for me to get the exact top shot that the customer wants with the type of mono they want...
