    The Only Good Indians terrified me! Usually horror books don't shake me the way that book did. The audiobook of it was also very good.

    Oh and I have that same plants of the boreal forest and aspen parkland book and i found it really nice to use out in nature. I am a biologist and I've always used that one for work

    I loved the Master Butchers Singing Club. I have almost everything Louise Erdrich has written. I think you need to hurry and find a good plant for keeping the bugs away.

    I liked This Wound Is A World by Billy Ray Belcourt. I look forward to your review of his new work.

    This was such a lovely video! Well, of course apart from you being attacked by mosquitos. Hope you enjoyed your trip and that you had a wonderful time! Love your dress, btw!

    I love how passionate you are about plants! My grandfather was a woodsman and used to take my brother and I up the holler, pointing out animal tracks and teaching us to identify the plants around us. Plant identification was always part of our Appalachian culture. Now I’ve been trying to learn the plants here in the South and it’s all so drastically different. I should get a book and try to make a practice of it. All of my grandparents’ books on the topic are still back home. 🤔

    Using books as a tripod and having packed way too many books, this is classic.
    I also extremely relate to being eaten alive by bugs as I just got back from a trip to the lake.
    Loved seeing the variety of books you bright with you, excited to hear your thoughts/reviews when you finish.
    Also, if you would ever consider making an introduction to Louise Erdrich/where to start video with advice like reading the Love Medicine series in chronological order, etc. I selfishly would love to watch that.

    Billy-Ray Belcourt is one of my all-time favorite authors. I loved Brief Body, can't wait to hear your thoughts on it! I also highly recommend his two poetry collections. This Wound is a World is excellent on audio too. Thank you for this video!

    Loved this so much and the looks you give those trucks 😂🤨. What were they doing though?! I am halfway through Islands of Decolonial Love and really love the way she writes. Have a great rest of your camping trip.

    The fact that there are loud trucks and you're talking about settler colonialism. I love Stephen Graham Jones. He's always got something interesting to say about horror. I also follow his twitter and he's like got some of the most unappreciated dry humor on book twitter.

    I am petrified to read The Only Good Indians because I’m such a scaredy cat - in your opinion is it scarier than Empire of Wild...? 👀😬😂

    • @thunderbirdwomanreads4641
      @thunderbirdwomanreads4641  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Laura L yes, I’d say it’s definitely more scary than Empire of Wild 😬

    No such thing as too many books.
