    You might want to double check the rules because I believe that you reveal a fate card and then choose a target. I believe that was the intent of the villain icons on the fate cards. So that you can target the villain it affects the most.

      Yep! I think we consulted the rules during this specific game. I believe from here out we fate, read the card, then choose who to fate.

    At 9:09, Joe moves his icon to the Golden City, then before he ends his turn he uses Rage of K'liluna despite it saying you need to use it before you move.

    The back and forth commentary was much better with 3 players.

      Agree! We can't wait for the four player video.

    I noticed at Kev’s turn on 10:10 mark he does Fate first (which results in a wasted Molecular rearranger) and then does Assimilate Knowledge. What I have been doing is using that effect first , choosing the fate I want and then Fating the same turn. Seems like a very broken combination for Ultron. On top of choosing the fate cards that hurt your opponents (or wasting the cards that are potentially hurtful to you) you can repeat the process in a turn or two since playing a sentry allows you to get Assimilate Knowledge back into your hand.

    Im pretty sure you can still use the stones effect even when not attached to an ally

    I appreciate the new game content. I cant wait till this game comes out with expansions. Another one to try from Fantasy Flight is 'Marvel Champions: The Card Game'. Takes about the same time, 60 minutes, to play. And they are releasing new heros and villians about every quarter.

      Yep, we do have a few videos (at least one, maybe two) of us playing Marvel Champions. A bunch of us have kept up with the releases as well and are current in the product! It's another game where we struggle to get everything and everyone on screen, but aren't opposed to playing more of it.

    I believe that you can use the stone when it is attached to your ally and when you use a activate action, but when the ally is defeated or removed the stone is no longer of use to the villain other than Thanos. so then Thanos can take it the second he sends an ally to that location, so it is not like other items. you need an ally attached to it for the ability to be active in other villain's domains other than Thanos.

  • @Just-thatguy501
    @Just-thatguy501 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    and also when the ally attached to the stone gets defeated or removed you CANNOT attach the stone to another ally.

    I need clarification on vanquishing. Does your ally survive the vanquishing act as thanos? Usually if you vanquish a hero your ally gets discarded as a result right?

    • @jof1707
      @jof1707 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Correct, however Thanos has effect cards and an infinity stone which allow him to keep his allies alive after participating in a vanquish action. Ebony Maw also has that abilitiy if he is fighting someone with for an infinity stone.

    As Ultron for your first two objectives can you just remove the cards to achieve them or do they have to vanquish a hero to be removed? it seems if you can just remove them, to fate ultron seems pointless they can just fate and hinder everyone else and play the very very slooooow game to win

      In my experience: rarely. And I have seen Thanos win before. I myself have won with him once.

    I completely destroyed 4 other people with ultron. I used enough fate cards to hinder their power gains, and just kept using cards such as impervious alloy to make my minions seemingly invincible, then I used the upgrades to win the game.

      Ultron is unbelievably easy. We use house rules to slow him down.

      According to a ruling on BGG, it's only 1 stone per ally.
