Yeah, somehow I was predicting something more extreme like he split the bit beast spirit in two because of how strong it was so half was in the blade and half was in his son which was the reason why he was that good. So he would scream at the frequency to unleash stronger power
11:50 I just now realized that the main character's Bit Beasts are references to the Four Guardians of the cardinal directions from Chinese mythology. Dragoon is the Azure Dragon of the East, Driger is the White Tiger of the West, Dranzer is the Vermillion Bird of the South and Draciel is the Black Tortoise of the North.
Going from V-Force to cheating seems like skipping a few steps. Such as revolving the G, that could fit right in there between, get good at that first.
Wanna take a moment to highlight another one of Max's INSANE feats. Cyber Draciel was so strong, it gave Tyson actual nightmares, which drove him to start thinking they HAD to cheat to beat it. Max defeated C-Draciel, not once, not twice, but basically THREE times in a row. He did "lose" the third time, but it was 100% plot bs, because Draciel was litteraly slamming C-Draciel's head in the wall but for some reason Cyber Draciel won. I will say it again, Max is a monster.
Think it was cuz the scientists cheated last second or didn't honor the terms and stole Draciel anyway cuz they're assholes. Likely a combination of the two.
In Episode 1 of the entire Show, Dragoon was sealed inside a sword. My theory is that Dragoon was wielded by a swordsman, either during or after the battle, and Dragoon became a Guardian for Tyson’s family.
The Cyber Bit Beast are pretty much the Bladebreakers’ Bit Beast, but evil. It reminds me of the Psycho Rangers. I have been expressing interest in Power Rangers and Super Sentai, so…. Edit: then again, The Saint Shields also serves as that too in a way.
It's funny that modding Tysons blade was apparently illegal by BBA standards, yet the battle wasn't BBA enforced, nor was it regulation legal anyway. Especially since, one season later, they create their own "Hard Metal" beyblades that would probably not be BEGA legal either. I'm aware that they couldn't acquire the parts since that'd involve them joining BEGA, but you'd think they'd keep the specifications BBA legal in order to remain consistent with their morals and principles. Ray later states that, Tyson relied on himself and not his beyblade, but we all know that is a great load of horse sh&t, since virtually all their victories relied on their blades getting upgraded 😅
Ray and Max getting done dirty in those battles feels so bad man, Max's moreso because he almost won and would've gotten the win! But there is the plus of giving us the song, Underdog. Personal favorite and I will listen to it now and then. And just because, fun fact: like in the anime, Cyber Dragoon has the ability to jump. Not by the same method as Trigle, if I remember correctly. (I miss when Beyblade got crazy with the designs, they were unironically cool sometimes.)
With the toyline Beyblade X taking off in Asia & N. America, I found myself looking back at Beyblade V Force & OG Beyblade - then you release this? Nice.

Thanks for the feedback. It’s kind of how I’ve always been doing this (whether it was Beyblade or Digimon - going through the story and pausing to give commentary /review where applicable). Me just casually listening this recap. Good lord this series was insane. Then again, that was kind of par for the course. I recently rewatched the first two episodes of OG Yu-gi-oh and I just couldn't stop laughing at the insanity.
Oh the upcoming episodes are THRILLING! If there’s another thing I like about v force is that carelessness can make you lose your bit beasts (ray in this case) and the fact the 4 of them HAVE flaws and ARE capable of making several mistakes and working on them. They are exceptional but still human..that’s what I love about this season the most. It makes everyone’s flaws visible enough to the point where they improve it.
2:16 I always thought the modded Dragoon looked so sick. I get why they never released it officially as a toy though, and it's not just because it's the SkullGreymon Dragoon, but also because it would probably explode as soon as it hit something (though I guess that's not a problem anymore now that Beyblade Burst exists hmmmm)
A lot of characters in this show debut by the river, though. Isn't that the exact spot where Tyson met Kai, and Carlos got slapped around for losing? Rivers are what literature refers to as "liminal" spots, which are barriers, or transitions, between two worlds, so they are and always have been important meeting places, not only in literature, but in history. It's why the first civilizations were all built near rivers: Tigris and Euphrates, Ganga, Mississippi, Nile, so forth.
I get what you mean regarding its significance to literature, but I'm pretty sure that most of the big and successful early age civilizations were built near rivers simply because the land there is is fertile, resulting in plentiful agriculture
My Favorite part of Tyson Vs Kane is when Dragoon is being beaten his eyes go white and tyson decides he wants to give up to not lose him then the life comes back into his eyes and he looks at Tyson in utter disbelief hearing his partner who always faces his battles head on full of passion just give up but he decides to keep fighting anyways inspiring tyson to do the same
2:22 I knew someone who didn't have a modded beyblade, but instead his beyblade had been _made_ by his father, who worked with metal in some way, and he made him what was essentially a sharp metal brick shaped into a beyblade. That thing looked like something that could conceivably be used as a murder weapon lol. Watch out for the frickin blacksmith's son or whatever and his razorbrick top. 7:17 It's a nice moral overall, I just feel like season 1 had more going on, like it said a bunch of things, whereas this arc kinda just says the one thing. 8:43 Lmao! "FBI! OPEN UP! WE KNOW YOU HAVE ILLEGAL TOPS."
I'm curious on your thoughts on the whole 'shared pain' between blader and bit-beast considering Season 1 was praised for not being violent and how later seasons go full on Dragon Ball with the fights
for me Rei losing his Bit Beast was over done same with Max. I would have like it if Tyson finally lost his. That would have brought back this idea that Tyson does depend on Dragoon a lot and needs to get better with out Dragoon. Or something where it can be shown they can still grow. If Tyson can lose then Max, Rei, and even Kai will all go train and grow as Bladers while Tyson have his own training. I don't know it just feel like everyone but Tyson can lose their bit beast.

I do find it a bit odd that Tyson would be open to cheat. To me he is competitive but knows the line. Felt a bit out of character. But suppose a spur of the moment. Saint shields definitely felt added more lore to the series.
