    I am really amazed how many parts and features of this Ferrari are identical or very similar to my 66 Alfa Romeo Spider: Switches, trunk release, gages, the hood system and much more. I guess it makes sense as both cars are Pininfarina designs of the Midsixties.

      A lot of hardware for these cars were shared. The trick is to buy them from an Alfa supplier and not a Ferrari supplier to avoid "Ferrari Tax!"

    I would use UFi Oil Filters instead of the crap FRAMs!

      I agree but those are not Frams, they're Baldwin B253 which are excellent.

      They are Baldwins which are red! Hardly anyone uses FRAMs anymore, and if you do see them at shows, they're usually painted Baldwins or UFIs because people like to use the vintage FRAM stickers on orange filters to look like old filters, but are not!

    What I would add is how to adjust the rear view mirror on the driver's door, and that you really need a screw driver and somebody to adjust it for you whilst seated in the car.

      a lot of these driver's side mirrors were dealer installed, so their positions can vary. Thanks for your note!

    Great channel! Might seem silly, but if they've never driven old cars I'd explain to them how to release the parking brake.

      You mean I’d doesn’t release with just a push of a button? Good point.

    If you did not mention it, it is sometimes good to shift into 3rd after 1st until box is warmed up unless the 330 is not a diff/gearbox(I'm not sure) ? Also, avoiding high revs or blipping throttle excessively when motor is cold or not under load...!

      All good points. I find the need to skip 2nd gear only happens with really worn 2nd gear synchros. I never rush a gear change on a Ferrari, and definitely when it's cold. You'll feel the resistance on the synchro ring through the gear shift lever, so treat it accordingly. Blipping the throttle excessively not only fuel washes the cylinder walls, but also only really attracts more dudes to your car. I don't know why people do it!
      Thanks for watching!

    Maybe explain the knock-off wheels so that if the new owner has a flat, they'll know what to do!

    Does it have a manual choke?

    • @tomyangnet
      @tomyangnet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! I don't like using chokes on these V-12s or for that matter any Vintage Ferrari. The multi carb set ups can cause the choke cables to bind and not reset when pushing the lever back in, so you stand a chance of running rich on one or two carbs which spoils the tune. A couple minutes of idling, and most of these cars will idle fine without choke. Occasionally, I will have a car that refuses to start without choke, but it's rare. Thanks asking!
