God of Malayalam cinema Mr bharath MOHANLAL
Vanaprastham is one of the best Malayalam movies ever made. Along with Iruvar and Sadayam, these are the classics where Mohanlal was at his best. I would rate Thanmatra and bhramaram as the other best performances.
I dont believe thanmathra and bhramaram are his best movies padamudra amruthamgamaya thoovanathumbikal namukparkan munthirithopukal why this movies not come in the list is very shocking
Vanaprastham is one of the best movie no doubt .
You're right..but bhramaram and Thanmatra were movies Mohanlal did some high voltage performances and he lifted these movies single handedly while the other movies you mentioned had great stories/script to support the role.
Amruthamgamaya he lifted the character in to high level with the support of the script same as done in other movies also you mentioned movies he performed well but the movies not reach that level in the sense of script direction and specially character selrctions for ex lalettans daughter in bhramaram played a worst performance in the movie in the very critical moment

I stayed poojappura mudavanmughal for three years which is mohanlal's native place. In that short span of time we were proud to say we come from mohanalal's place. So many times we tried to meet him(with friends) by going near to his home even at night, but that didn't happen. Anyhow the place is extremely known for his name.
