Hi Cliff, Brilliant video as always. I'm about Half way through the build of my one. Still getting lots of tips from your video! Kindest regards Wiggles!
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Not at all. I maidened her last night after finishing it. I added quite a bit of lead to get the balance on the front crease of the wing. On full power take off it nearly hit the ground, but I just managed to pull her out. It's a bit like a Bixler. I didn't think it soared all that well. I think I hit one thermal. It was a cool night. Anyway I'll take a bit of the nose lead off and try it agian today at our main field (Goosedale). Kindest regards and keep up the good work. Wiggles.😀😀😀
When I opened the box of mine I was unimpressed and thought I would do nothing with it. You have shown that I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions. I have seen the flight video as well and its back on the list of things to do. Thank you.
I bought this one as well. I've always wanted an ST Models Arcus M but it's not available in USA as Ripmax is extremely limited in what they sell in USA. I Love the self launching folding motor. I'm going to build my plane now, hope my hands are as steady as yours
Thanks for sharing your build Cliff and the tips will definitely be appreciated when I get around to putting mine together, stay safe and with my best wishes from old newbie Alan in South Yorkshire 👍👍🤗🤗
Good morning Cliff. Nice little model and build. Good tip using your glasses to find the CG. I tried it with my junior 60. Didn't work. I couldn't even see my bench. LOL. Looking forward to seeing the her in the air.
Definately Pete and you're not the first to wonder, me included. Email me if you want, my address should be in the 'About' section of my TH-cam home page 👍
I just built the minimum rc Minimoa motorized sailplane. The main spar of my build did not want to mount perfectly symetrical to the body. Thus the left wing has a bit more lift & has a slight to the right bank in my hand tossed flight test. I think rudder offset might fix my issue. If not I'll add an aileron to one wing with a fixed deflection. I think next time a jig to ensure perfectly symetrical wings is needed and given the plane is small and fragile this may be a bit of a challenge.
You do need to be very accurate when assembling the plywood parts, if you're not then it can throw the whole thing out, but as you say easily corrected, they're they're not as delicate as you may think either, they will take quite a bit of abuse. I've just finished building the DH88 Comet by MinimumRC and one of the engine nacelles wasn't quite square but luckily I spotted it and was able to correct things before final assembly, enjoy your flights 👍
That's right Keith, as I outlined in the start of the vid the rx is an older model and must be a different protocol (?), it wouldn't bind to the new tx but the DX6I had no problems!
The price varies depending on if you buy just the kit or some of the equipment to go in it Bob, check out the link in the description is the best bet, thanks for asking.

Hi Wiggles, hope it's helping and not hindering lol

Another great video Cliff, thank you. I have one still in the box and must start on it, once I finish the Savage Bobber!.
Hi Jak, thanks, you could build the ASG while the Bobber glue tries! 😁👍

Hi Richard, well done, food decision 👍
Looks very stylish. Now we have some warm weather see if it will thermal. 👍
Hopefully it won't thermal too well Stephen, it'll be a dot at 200ft!
Thank you very much Cliff. Greetings from Brazil.
Hi Fausto, thanks for commenting 🙂
That came out great 👍
Thanks Litts, better than I thought it would, cheers 🙂👍
Really smart looking glider Cliff, it's "2 cups of coffee" kinda glider, I will go and look for the maiden now, brilliant stuff 👍
Would be a fun project to enlarge 😉 Jerry 👍
Well done Cliff ! Can't wait to see that one fly ... I Think I will buy one and add to my MinimumRC collection .
The flying video will be uploaded in the next day or two Ludwig but don't hesitate, she's a lovely flyer 👍

Hi Joseph, it's a straightforward build you'll enjoy it and a pretty cool flyer 👍
What a gorgeous little thing that is! Loving the pop up motor too! (Lots of inspiration). Looking forward to the flight! 👍
Thanks Mike, it's a very well engineered model, a pleasure to build in fact 🙂
Like the look of this, might have to save my pennies for this! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to seeing it fly! Mike
The Maiden flight video will be posted very soon Mike, I'm delighted with its performance too 👍

Thanks Alan, you won't need much time, mine took me about five hours over three days, maiden to follow, she will definately put a smile on your face 🙂
Like the pop up motor on this looks simple and should work well. Looks pretty nice Cliff, good luck on the maiden, pretty fast flyer, Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff, she's a bit of fun and yes, the pop up motor works really well, the maiden video will follow soon, cheers 👍

You do need two pairs of glasses Terry, better luck next time 😁👍
Very nice thanks for sharing cheers
Thanks for taking a look Rod 👍
Looks interesting.
Thanks Olly 👍
That should go well!
And it does Bob, surprisingly well, maiden vid on the way soon 👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes I'll look forward to that as I like the challenge of small models. Also you can fit more in your hangar!
Great video, like the pop up motor, wondering about a scaled up version and how that could be done. Food for thought.

Looked a bit fiddly for my big clumsy digits!! But what a fab little Glider, looking forward to the maiden flight😄👍
Thanks Ian, if you can rebuild a chopper I'm sure you could glue one of these together, thanks, the maiden is on the way 👍
Thanks
No problem
Xcellant Did you consider how much the motor drains the 1s
battery before it looses connection?
I flew for six minutes Brian and it charged up ok 👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes that's excellent and enough...
I’m a little confused, you appear to be using a Spectrum Tx?
That's right Keith, as I outlined in the start of the vid the rx is an older model and must be a different protocol (?), it wouldn't bind to the new tx but the DX6I had no problems!
Thank you, that’s the problem with cooking and watching a vid!
@Keith Blackham And be sure not to watch cooking videos while you're cooking either Keith, you're likely to miss out an important ingredient 😁👍
👍👍👍
Thanks Robin 🙂
Otimo,👍🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Obrigado Altamiro 🙂
Nice one Cliff. Price?

@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes thanks, I'll check it out.
Cliff, dose the motor rising up change the CG
I suppose it does Michael, when it's retracted the cg is correct, when it rises it's slightly nose heavy, still flies well though 🤔👍
