This is strange to see, I’m a driver for Stagecoach in Hull and was part of the movement on the 4th/5th to take 70+ vehicles from Manchester across 3 depots, awesome video man 🔥 I also didn’t know some old 19000’s were staying at Bee Network I thought it was all brand new buses 🤔
@ loads of Manchester buses were moving to East Midlands as Bee Network has taken over in Manchester, they have some of our old buses still on loan which will be moved again in a large movement sometime in March, if you look in this video Stagecoach is covered with Bee Network and new temporary fleet numbers have been allocated until the full switch over
@ so yours was the Guinea pig with all the teething problems, ours wasn’t as bad, I think issues with my area was not enough bus drivers and many of the bus drivers didn’t know the bus routes in the area.
@@jmalloy2202 I suppose teething problems is inevitable when it comes to a handover of this scale, overall I think they did a good job 👍🏻 hopefully they can sort out the bus driver shortages
Does anyone know the timeframe for repainting / retirement? I hope it won't be like SWR taking basically 10 years to repaint all their trains, though I very much doubt it.
@glitchFan2428 I saw some the Saturday between Christmas and New Year at the Volvo dealership near Trafford Park, with some of the double decks, but not seen any appear in service. Hopefully they will appear soon.
Bee network has been a blessing for bus passengers on the Oldham Road corridor from Manchester (83/84), when First ran the services they were so unreliable, time keeping was appalling usually. The £2 single and £5 bus day rover is really good value, we are returning to how things were in SELNEC and then GMT, let’s hope the politicians in London don’t muck it up again in a few years.
@JimbobsTransportVideos sorry to hear that, I suppose some weather related cancellations are inevitable. Hopefully you'll get to come out and explore what metroline has to offer soon!
Stagecoach are bloody awful. The only bus operator to have given me trouble with tickets over and over again, and they retimed all our local buses because *they* weren't able to run them to schedule. Whether you have good memories with them or not, they're not at all fit for purpose nowadays.
Yes, I daresay it'll take years before everything is yellow. Back in the day, years after SELNEC was formed there were still buses in corporation liveries I was told
I've not had the chance to go on a stagecoach tranche 3 bus yet, but I'd assume for consistency sake they are all the same as the ones currently on other bee network buses.
@@glitchFan2428Good, hopefully if Sheffield goes ahead with franchising, they'll use the Ticketer as standard, the Vix TP5800 machines that Stagecoach use are hopeless, always breaking down.
Looks like a fleet of custard, expect nothing else from a labour mayor, noticed all company operating names have been covered up so no company has an identity same for the drivers, looks like this Burnham bloke is a bit of a control freak.
The passengers don’t care if the livery is bright pink as long as the buses run and the fares aren’t expensive m. Only the enthusiasts have a thing about bus liveries
Great video loads of new buses and ex stagecoach vehicles good to see metroline in Manchester as well as in London
Thank you, yes there's a lot to see and ride!

Thank you for your service
@ thanks bro 🔥
Wait why did they take 70+ buses?

A warm welcome for Metroline in Manchester!
More like a cold freezing welcome looking at the recent weather
@@YaoboyProd2K15 it definitely was fookin freezing 🥶
Wish Metroline had it's own livery in Manchester too, rn it's using Stagecoach livery [and bee network usually]
Yeah, would be interesting to see
They do have Their own livery,it can only be seen on their PB1 Route near london. Im expecting the livery to be that.
@Bobbyandmog that's interesting! Never knew that existed, you learn something new every day
Metroline has been given a date by TfGM by which all the buses must be painted yellow - although I don't know when that is.
All buses will be Bee Network livery eventually so there will be no Metroline livery in GM
We’ve had bee network buses in town I’m from since March of last year. we see the occasion ‘first bus’ still in its original colour,
March 2024 was Tranche 2, we've had them since September 2023 when Tranche 1 commenced

They will probably sell some of the older buses rather than re-spray and refurbished them.
Different bus models with mix of modern and old changing into yellow liverly for tranche 3
Yes the yellow livery is all you'll see when all the old buses get retired or repainted
are you planning on doing an ashton bus station video following tranche 3? would love to see one
I am definitely planning to :)
@ haha mint, been going every day since launch. Be ready for plenty of newens 👀 all sub 1000 miles atm too
Brilliant video, do you know what route the single deck BZLs are going on? I saw a few at the volco dealership but not seen any on the trackers yet.
Thanks Steven, I've not seen any single deck BZL yet, but when they do come out I'll definitely be filming them

This is one livery that will need to be driven through the bus wash every night.!!
Its mainly because the diesel engines emissions cause the bright yellow livery to become much noticably dirtier compared to TFL's red busses

I do like the singles too, especially now with the £2 hopper-unlimited transfers in 1 hour just like London
Hope Metroline will replace the Voith gearboxes to ZF Ecomats on the E400s
I highly doubt that is going to happen, as much as I'd like it to!
@ Anyways Voith gearbox on Metroline E400s are so strange
And I wish the MAN engined ones are still in service
They are only loans they are still stagecoach vehicles some are coming down southeast in march
What happened to Arriva and First
They were not awarded any contracts (I think first still has some school contracts tho)
I wasn't able to ride metroline yesterday or today becuse my route has been suspended for most of both days due to ice!
Looking great though.

I'm sure you'll get to it eventually jimbob!
Is it the intention that all the buses will be painted yellow
Yes
Stagecoach will be missed as it's been the company I does since I was little so he it will be missed btw if you hate BEE NETWORK Like the comment :)
