Vic Fangio was a big part of that win too... proving every Dolphins defensive player dead wrong and makes them look dumb immature and unprofessional
Youre absolutely right. The inmates are running the institution in Miami. Vic got out of town while the getting was good. Philly signed him up the same day. Good for him.
You are a clown.
@@kemosabegt350geuss6inmates 😂😂😂
@kemosabegt350geuss6 as long as Philly wanted him, Fangio was always leaving for the Eagles. Has nothing to do with Miami or the players. Fangio is from Philly, his mom still lives there, and he's an eagles fan.
don't forget soft.
Ask Omar Kelly if he still thinks Vic Fangio is an old fogey ? The dude's defense just put on the best display in Super Bowl history. But Fangio was the problem, not the Dolphins players. Omar, I agree with so much that he says, but he's a player apologist.
They were very, very good. But the Bears beat the New England Patriots 46-10. That was a crushing defense as well.
@@WGB3019 Miami should of never let Fangio walk but there is a reason this soft team has not won anything in over 50 years
The problem with Fangio was he wanted out of the Miami deal before he even signed it.
And he had them running predominately zone and doubling the TE. The couple plays that worked for KC were when someone ran across the zones and the person in the incoming zone didn't see them. That style works wonders then you have a good pass rush and produces picks left and right.
Omar Kelly is a political hack and should not be allowed on the lot.
Miamis problem is Chris Grier! Doesn’t Get It! TIME TO FIRE HIM GRIER!!!
Oh Doug he loves GM Grier that why Mia will be in the Basement soon, the dolphins will probably go 7-10 hit the Rebuild button like with Tannehill in 2018 season
TRENCHES TRENCHES TRENCHES
You forgot about one thing…. TRENCHES
@Dg_donn you're right, thanks for reminding me
Who would win in ww1? 1 ok General... or 15 million guys in the TRENCHES!?!?
Agree with you 100% however, Grier does NOT seem to understand that concept.. Ya'll more worried about the OLine than we are.. F'in jackass (Grier)
Meanwhile, it was one year ago that Jevon Holland implicitly told Vic Fangio to go “kick rocks”. He went and won a SB. We are soft like he said.
i have three takeways from this game: 1. trenches 2. trenches 3. trenches
when your lines get overwhelmed it does not matter who is playing quarterback and you can win a super bowl with a good but not elite qb
True, we saw the same thing when Mahomes faced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 20'
U forgot coaching lol...
Build the trenches on both sides of the ball
Cant believe 49ers D was soo crap last year.
Dude you are absolutely right man The trenches wins football games that's what the dolphins need to concentrate this coming year the trenches hopefully Greer saw the super bowl
Can't NEVER learned anything until they get rid of Chris Grier ASAP 😡
Quick question, where are all the people who said Cam Smith was going to be unlocked after Fangio left?
They have to take off his hospital restraints first.
@@WGB3019 LOL
Kickin Rocks
The Dolphins are LIGHT YEARS away from appearing in a Super Bowl. I don't say that because of the talent the Dolphins have but the way the team is constructed, the culture, and the way they are run from the top (Ross) on down to the HC.....
Proves that Fangio was right and the Fins defense that complained about him were wrong. Need to be tougher as a group. Best teams focus on the trenches on both sides of the ball. I don’t think the Eagles blitzed once but pressured Mahomes with their front four the entire game!
We learned Fangio is a defensive genius. McDaniel is neither a good HC nor a great offensive mind.
McBozo has no testosterone and he's built the team in his image. His high functioning autism is stuck in an "on-the-job-training" rut.
Please fire the HC & GM Doug thinks there is a chance not I'm 5 yrs
They can learn if they allow themselves to learn. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. I absolutely agree with you Doug.
What can we learn? A) learn how to draft a QB! B) find a decent G.M ..C) Find a decent coach...D) Hope Ross sells the Phins!...there ya go
The SUPERBOWL showed HOW IMPORTANT it is to have a strong offensive line to.protect the QB
Not watched it yet but what i will say is. Defence wins championships, OL helps win championships. Viv Fangio was hurt by the Dolphins not that the Dolphins were hurt by Vic Fangio.
Fangio is the man. He’s on Fire
Your comment about retaining our quality players is so on point. We trade for guys that are always hurt, give them monster contracts, then let our good players we drafted walk.
Doug spot on there is a reason this Team HAS NOT WON ANYTHING in over 50 years .Vic Fangio is a Better coach then McDaniel will ever be Miami got rid of the wrong coach
Thanks for the Season Doug. I really appreciate! 🐬⬆
One other thing is that Nick Sirianni game up play calling. Said he found he couldn't do it and coach the team properly!
Howie Roseman was masterful in how he rebuilt the trenches for the Eagles.
It comes with some good fortune too, but great job.
and much better at the skill positions on offense
I’m so glad Vic Fangio was vindicated last night. After being slandered by the Dolphins organization and a lot of the fans about how he’s washed up and out of touch with the new players and the game he passed him by etc. He couldn’t get out of the Dolphins fast enough after one season of Amateur Hour and they had to talk shit about him after he left. Fangio wanted no part of Cam Smith! Hilarious! Holland talked shit about Fangio and what did Holland do last season? Besides fail I mean. LOL Fangio designed Eagles D played lights out last night and we are still pulling pud with the Brain Trust of Ross, Grier and McDaniel.
With Grier in charge , nothing they’ll just double and triple down BS
That's what makes me sick when I see mock drafts have us taking a TE, WR, or safety in the first round. 🐬☝️🇺🇲🤘
Just came from the members video! You did a LOT afterwards! Good for you!
There were three things i learned from this Super Bowl:
Having a great GM is pivotal.
Jalen Hurts proves that the Dolphins will never win the SuperBowl with Tua. The Eagles scored points due to Jalen Hurts leadership and mobility.
Fangio is a championship DC. Dolphins have horrible culture.
I just wish they can learn. 🐬
Build the trenches
Doug, we've been talking about fortifying the offense line for four years
Yup wish we had a gm who knew that
4 man rush. Absolutely killed the chiefs OL. 7 man umbrella. Inevitable. Nowhere to go Patrick. The 🦅s d line are the MVPs.
True dat. And the Chiefs don’t have as bad a line as the Dolphins. I’m not sure how long the Eagles can keep both lines intact but they barely needed anyone else on the field.
And when Fangio was in Miami there were fans screaming blitz more. Clowns
Everyone on Miami’s defense should be embarrassed.
They should have never let Vic Fangio leave the building that's #1 Number 2 build the trenches. Smh
Chiefs offensive line was not bad it was Phillies defense that won the super bowl.
This year, the Chiefs offense averaged 343 yards/ game and scored 385 points, averaging 22.6/ game. Mahomes threw for 3,928 yard with 26 TDs and 11 INTs and the offense rushed for a combined 1,752 yards reaching the end zone on 15 occasion. Vic Fangio and the Eagles defense were impressive but the Chiefs relied much more on their defense this year.
The 2018 Los Angeles Rams entered the Super Bowl after that season powered by an offense that averaged 435 yards per game and scored 527 points, 32.9/game, in which Jared Goff had thrown for 4,489 yards, 32 TDs and 12 INTs, with two of his WRs ecclipsing 1,250 yards. The team amassed over 2,230 yards on the ground, scoring 23 TDs, with Todd Gurley leading that rushing attack with 1,255 of those yards along with 17 of those TDs.
The Chiefs, entering this game seeking a three-peat and their previous years as an offensive juggernaut, over-valued their offense in people's minds. Comparatively speaking, the 2018 Rams' offense was much more potent than was that of these 2024 Chiefs. And it was that Rams offense that took the field on that late Sunday afternoon in 2019, ready to amaze the tens of thousands of spectators in attendance, the millions watching around the world and that scared, no-name Defensve Coordinator that had to be shaking in his boots on the other side of the field. This is how that all played out that day for those Rams:
1st half- 3 plays punt, 5 plays punt, 3 plays punt, 5 plays punt, 3 plays punt, 3 plays punt. Rams 0 points.
2nd half- 5 plays punt, 3 plays punt,10 plays FG, 9 plays punt, 7 plays INT, 6 plays missed FG. Patriots 13. Rams 3
If you favor this Eagles Super Bowl defense as the best ever, have at it. The '85 Bears, who are more than deserving, by way of annihilating the Patriots, miss the top nod only because the opportunity to avenge their only loss evaded them when the Miami Dolphins, seeking to avenge the previous year's Super Bowl loss, found a way to lose the AFC Championship Game, at home, to an inferior Patriots team, in the final game the Dolphins would ever play in the Orange Bowl. Therefore, my vote for best defensive performance in a Super Bowl goes to Brian Flores and his 2019 Super Defense.
The shelf building video was honestly one of my favourite of the whole season.
Watching and listening to someone bodge DIY whilst getting distracted by their own football chat is something so many of us can relate to.
If it was another channel I'd subscribe.
You are right on and yes… you have been preaching that for years.
didn't Vic fangio work for us WTF Grier should be fired for that alone
Trenches..Philly has the biggest Oline in the league too. So, trenches..big trenches!
Who’s excited to watch Grier draft a safety/corner at 13 and reach for a offensive lineman in the 2nd round
100% ON ALEC HALABY BEING NEXT DOLPHINS GM. MOST TALENTED EVALUATOR OF TALENT IN THE LEAGUE. FAR AND AWAY THE MOST OBVIOUS CHOICE!
If we can keep Chubb paired with a healthy Jalen Philips and Chop. Adding a solid DT to go with Zach Sieler would be huge for this defense.
I am glad you said it Doug Jalen Hurt in this team is not going to no superbowl.
What we would’ve learned is that teams win in the trenches. Fix the Line PLEASE
Great Video Doug
Oline Dline Oline Dline Oline Dline Oline Dline Oline Dline Oline Dline Oline Dline Oline Dline Oline Dline Oline Dline Oline Dline Oline Dline Oline Dline Oline Dline. It's always been the way to build a team, and it was in full display last night.
In SB55 against the Bucs Mahomes actually looked like the best player on the field. His OL and WRs sucked, but he was still throwing perfect passes while diving sideways and hitting his receivers in the face mask.
Agreed that SB was won through strong trench play and front office moves. Taking absolutely nothing away from the players. This game doesn’t justify a Dolphins Myles Garrett addition! Miami should build in numbers along both trenches, and we aren’t one piece away (yet)! Looking forward to offseason videos Doug.
Hi Douglie, Is that the Zach Thomas rookie football I sent over your right shoulder? If so, glad to see it made the cut! 😊
The Super Bowl made me realise how good Tua would be behind a good O-line. Mahomes looked horrible
Our biggest for the draft and FA is strengthening the o line and d line and safety !!!
Pressure and sack the QB while shutting down the running game. But most importantly, the soft players and goofy coach made a big mistake getting rid of Fangio. Be something if when we get rid of McNotGenius we hire Fangio as our head coach.🤔
Fangio is not a good HC lol. He's definitely a career DC, and has a better chance at the HoF if he sticks to his guns.
Drafting OL rookies is so boring until they win playoff games and a couple of SBs. LOL
Not knocking Fangio, he drew up a perfect gameplan against the Chiefs. But, it's a lot easier to be dominant when they can get pressure without blitzing.
That's more of an indictment of the KC offensive line than anything else. Reminded me of how the Dolphins O-line looks against good teams.
So is Hurts better than Tua? Who would you rather have? You're right, Eagles roster is awesome. In 2023 we had a top 5 roster but still couldn't beat winners and I blame Tua because he chokes so often against them. A better QB for us that year would've given us the AFC East and probably the 1st seed in the entire AFC because we had it until Tua went into choke mode again. Fins are going nowhere for at least the next 3-5 seasons and as long as we have Tua
tua your too dumb to relaize real facts... hurts did not win that game stupid... that defence did... and note you will never know how good hurts is until he has a bad oline
Hurts
Doug I agree 100% I’ve been saying it we have speed we have a good quarterback but offensive line and defensive line we need to be successful
Spot on Doug. I guess we will see come draft and free agency if Grier has learned anything.
I think that sums up the entire build of the Miami Dolphins at the end of your video that is overlooked by everyone. Miami tried to build last season based on Free Agents (FA), not building in the Draft. You build a team in the Draft and you fix holes with FA.
Once Miami has an O Line that gives Tua time to be a QB and opens holes for the RB's, Miami will be in the conversation. But the hard truth is this: Chris Grier thinks flashy skill players = Building a winning organization. But there is also something that is plaguing the Dolphins and any organization in Miami: Culture and the temptation of partying. I think and would love to see some insight into this next claim by me: How much time does the team spend in the film room? We know some key players watch film like its their job, but how about the entire team? This is the huge question. IMHO, I do not think Miami has a culture of winners but a culture of party players. They are here for a pay check, nice living quarters, and partying.
Remember when Miami went Undefeated? It was the lose to the Cowboys that started it all. The GOAT Don Shula was recorded saying (and I am paraphrasing), we will go undefeated or it is a bust season. That is how you build culture of a winning organization. Expectations is Perfection and Perfection is won by eliminating distractions and honing your skills. Miami needs to implement a required system of ZERO partying during the season and the Season starts in June when we do OTAs and other practices and goes until the season is over for Miami, in hopes it will be after a Super Bowl win.
So - is rooting for a team in South Florida is automatically self-defeating? Living in Philly allows for better player concentration because it’s not South Florida? Not sure it’s that easy.
Every other major sports franchise in South Florida has won a championship since the Dolphins last won a playoff game. And why would this apply only to Miami? LA doesn't have this problem - the Dodgers, Rams, and Lakers all have recent titles.
The culture of the Dolphins is awful and has been for a long time but blaming the city is lazy and reductive.
Shelves on the ceiling?🤔. U don't see that ☺️
What they can learn HOPEFULLY is that the offensive line and defensive line will make or break us. We have the defense that is top 10 and an offense that struggled because of o-line struggles. The fanbase criticizes McDaniel for screen calls and not running the ball on short yardage situations but we CAN’T pick them up because of the o-line. The Super Bowl Champion Eagles are unstoppable on short yardage and the only time Hurts got touched last night is when KC jumped offside. That should say it all
Thanks Doug for everything. I don’t believe anything is going to change in this corrupt league.
Wish the Dolphins the best. 🐬
Many could argue that the defensive line is more important than the oline after watching that game. I dont think it would have mattered what oline KC had going. This was the same for the Giants beating the patriots or Tampa beating KC in past Superbowls. The #1 takeaway for the dolphins is that we have a sub oline and we have 1 legitimate starting player on the Dline, sieler, and thats it. The eagles rushed 4 all game. And yes, the chiefs need a Tackle, but that eagle Dline wasnt going to be stopped with whatever line KC had in there. Moral of the story: Grier has to draft two oline and two dline at least in this draft. When Grier drafts Milroe, call it a season in the tank before it started.
Agree with you, but you also need to look at the GM, and Howie Roseman has been great and this team can identify talent. I wonder what he could have done with all of our picks we got from the Tunsil trade.
Last time we had a good healthy O-line we put up 70 pts
That was also the only game the whole season all 5 starters played
@davidgentile7477 I do remember that. Crazy the injuries we have every year. But Grier seems to navigate to injury prone guys thinking it's a deal because they are cheaper. Armstead has never made it a full season in the 10+ years in the NFL.
@@j-boy9256yup. So frustrating. Look at every successful post season team:top trenches. Grier also so stubborn and doesn’t move on from a bad pick (i.e. Eichenberg) rather than admit it wasn’t a good pick and let the team/line suffer.
@@davidgentile7477 yeah Grier does well at safety and serviceable at DBs and defensive line. But he needs to bring in someone to help with the O-line selection. He has no feel for that position. He did the same thing with Jesse Davis, keeping him a year longer than he should have.
Oline, Oline, Oline. Big WR, relentless defense, fast safeties and DB's that can catch pick 6's. Oh, a BIG mobile QB.
What the Eagles did was build a solid roster that allowed them to take gambles on character (Carter) or injury (DeJean). Teams that absolutely needed those picks to hit couldn't take those risks.
100
Percent agree😊
Correction 😂 they beat the dog piss out of them
😂😂
You said Grier and Lern in the same sentance, LOL!!!!
Phins has a lot learn how build and o.line and D line.
Vic schemed that up perfectly and his players did what they needed to do
The Eagles are tough and dominant in the trenches on both sides of the ball. It must have been awesome for Philly fans celebrating before the third quarter was even over. According to Grier we don't even need a good OL. I doubt he will learn anything.
Trenches matter 💯
a staunch defense and trenches are a winning combination. You just need a functional QB That's how Dilfer and the Ravens won a SB
We learned that all of Philly’s resources were placed on their offense and defensive lines. While the Dolphins placed focus on a injured quarterback and 2 speed receivers
It was a snoozer.
Always agree with your take doug. A better GM needed for sure
Doug the problem is they Dolphins aren't listening!
I'm going to keep saying it. DouglieDoWrong for Dolphins GM
Dougie dont fotget Vic Fangio
It’s laughable that the few picks we do hit on suddenly get traded or move on cause we can’t pay them SMH!!
It’s amazing what a competent GM can do. Grier needed to be fired yesterday . As long as he’s in charge we’re screwed
That having a qb be able to play is what can get you to the superbowl lmao
I always said tua would be awesome quarterback if they would just build a good offense of line around him a lot of quarterback that are good are good because the offense of line make them look good and you have to have a good defense line I have been saying that for years on here I have agreed with you on this problem for a long time I have been a dolphin fan for 45 years and have watched them struggle with crappy offense of line and defenses for ever or the will have one and not the other
Games have and always will be won in the trenches!
Just in my opinion, I feel justin hurst is just an average quarterback. But he brought his A game to the Super Bowl. I watched a lot of games where other quarterbacks were playing better than justin hurts against them. I agree with you, Doug. They build around him Hurts. The run game was very good, and the defense was really good and carried hertz when he needed it.
He made some really big throws, showed great poise and ran well
And Grier keeps Eichenberg 😡
We do need the best thing at qbs Trenches are great, we also know if you don't have the qb; you're not gonna win.
The fact that hurts isn't ranked speaks to part of the problem.
Who won the mvp last night? Hurts! You still have to have the guy.
We forget they had went right? Then they got hurts! Thats what we should've done! Got a good qb behind him grooming him to be the starter behind Tua.
We need the trenches yes! We aslo need the qb! Let it go! We should've moved on 3 years ago! Tannehill had trenches in Tennessee! Furthest he got was to the afc championship! And never went back. Now he's at home. Miami issue is they wanted to be right about tua amd it hasn't worked yet. Now wr need the qb and everything else
hurts won it dummy... but the real mvp was that eagles defense... lol and the fact mahomes had a really bad game.. did you watch the game stupid
what we learned is that the refs can carry you far, until you get to the superbowl and you face a defense that was literally just too good for the refs to be able to call anything on them.
Wanna know what I learned? That we will never see Miami on that stage ever again. They’ll never have the toughness to even get close.
Congrats to the Eagles. Great Superbowl K.C. deserved to be there . Miami could have had Jalen Hurts but no they took Tua. Hurts is mobile and fast and a good arm. Vic Fangio goes back to Philly and builds the defense he wanted. In just 1 year. Front line of the eagles are huge. RB is fantastic. Just a complete team that was hungry for revenge. Dolphins will learn nothing from this. Miami will overspend for players instead of going to the college draft and rebuild. And start with a mobile QB. Anotherwords you have to clean house right from the coach down.
Trenches matter!
Everything
New front office.
Better coach
Better qb.
Better trenches and players around qb.
Defensive trenches
Stacked secondary
I think a lot of people forget that Hurts wasn't a 1st rd pick
If a professional football team still needs to learn that big, strong, athletic guys in the trenches can win you a title then that organization is already cooked.
Jalen Hurts further proved that we took the worse QB in that year's draft
lol kinda shows you never watched the eagles or aware how bad hurts was all season
what about herbert lol... if he that great... what happen to him in the playoffs lol
monumental mistake, then AJ, the Iggy
Waddle over either Parson/Smith/Slater and a FRP was galactically stupid
Those back to back first rounds set us back
@@iec7587 again showing your peabrain... you can't debate with stupidity lol... those are not why the eagles won and shows why you shouldnt be a GM superbowl teams don't evovle around the QB
It tells me that if the Dolphins were playing the Eagles, but not in the Super Bowl because the Dolphins will never make it to the Super Bowl, but it would’ve been like 70-3 if hypothetically the dolphins were playing the Eagles last night. 😂
We learn that the important part is front 7, front 7, and front 7 while being balanced everywhere else. Philly's defensive line was better than KC's offensive line, across the board. Philly's offensive line was better than KC's defensive line except for one player. KC had to shoot gaps to make it so Philly couldn't just run on them all game. Freed up a ton of downfield stuff. The Eagles still had 135 yards rushing even though KC did everything they could to take it away.
What we can learn. I would say that upper management sucks big time because we cant seem to keep anyone. We live in a state with no state tax, amazing weather and everything anyone wants. But we cant obtain Brady, Manning or keep any one of talent such as Vic Fangio. And it feels as if everyone who leaves us always ends up doing better and winning Superbowls.
Wilkins didn't do better 😂 (we'll ignore absolutely everyone else though)
Send this video to Grier ASAP.
I been saying this since day 1 that Miami should have drafted OFFENSIVE LINEMEN INSTEAD OF DRAFTING TUA. THATS 1 OF THE REASONS WHY TUA GETS HURT ALL THE TIME
