This may sound crazy but Jalen Milroe is a Heisman candidate. Milroe has improved more over the last 6 weeks than any player in college football. The only other player I know of that had a similar situation was Joe Burrow.

As a Bama fan who watched our defense fall off a cliff the previous 2 years, it really all starts up front. Having disruptive players along the D line is no longer a luxury but a necessity if you want to slow down modern offenses.

I'm a Bama fan, but I think GA will show up if the SEC on the line. Then again they may be emotionally drained by the time they finish playing Miss and Tennessee. Only time will tell but Kirby will have them ready for a fight if Bama and GA meet for the SEC. GA is deceptively good and we have to stay healthy.

I've been one of Bama 's biggest critics of their offense and Milroe. They finally put together a complete game as a team and Milroe for the most part made good decisions the whole game. YEAH FINALLY!!!
People seem to forget that Milroe is only a soph and before this season, had only started one game because of an injury to Bryce Young. He needed time to develop and he's doing that now. He could be a Heisman candidate next season.

How the tables have turned for Milroe outstanding performance outdueled Daniels. Daniel’s made the mistake that mattered most in turning the ball over as well not completing on 4th down!
AL played really well, the best i've seen in quite a few years. Milroe obviously outstanding - poised, not making any bad decisions, taking educated losses but not losing the ball, what a credit to him and the coaching staff ! But what i liked the most aside from their overall toughness and elite play was that FINALLY Alabama got its running game going - very proud o their running backs esp in the 2nd half. The running game brings Alabama to a much higher plane of overall effectiveness. And of course this reflects vast improvement in the O-line who now are as dainty and nimble as rhinos in tutus ;-) And yes, shout out to the DBs who were outstanding, DB is such a difficult task against world class track speed among the LSU receivers , lets decant our hounds-teeth (even in AL , these days most have more than one tooth ) chapeaus to the AL DBs!

You're right, with Ty Simpson, they'd be averaging 5 tds a game and at least 300 yards in passing. That at least takes out the need for the running backs to carry the game when you have a QB who can throw.

It is nearly impossible to call targeting on a player who wraps up in a bear hug form-tackle with his entire facemask planted on his upper jersey and never launches off his feet. A penalty needs to be applied to LSU's coach for putting Daniels back out on the field after he was clearly knock senseless , violating the concussion protocol , It should not take Daniel's mother racing out onto the field to see if he's okay, the protocol is he should not have been allowed to go back out on that field no matter what Daniel wanted . Amazing game by Alabama both sides of the ball. Amazing game from LSU's offense until halfway into the 3rd. I think refs have been bad both ways in this game, the call on Dallas was okay to me, I would have understood if he got tossed anyway after what happened to Shilo Sanders last week, but well it was an okay call to me. Still very sad to see JD go down like that, nobody deserves it, and this guy has the potential to win the Heisman. Plus the game wasn't exciting without him in the end, that sucks. Every ranked team LSU has played has scored 39 points or more against them. The most by far in Saban's 17 yrs at AL. All the QBs have looked good.

Call me crazy but Jalen Milroe deserves to be in the Heisman race. He has completely turned this offense around. Without Milroe Alabama wouldn’t be where they are right now. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player improve as drastically as Milroe has over the last 5 games.
You're right, with Ty Simpson, they'd be averaging 5 tds a game and at least 300 yards in passing. That at least takes out the need for the running backs to carry the game when you have a QB who can throw.

I hate JD got hurt...he's a great qb...can throw and can slither out of any DL pressure...but my thought after turner hit him is that he's kinda slight in build and any good shot on him.could.put him out...Milroy runs alot and I've seen him take some dawn good hits but he's built almost LIKE an LB...and seems he can absorb some hits and bounce back

The LSU defense down the stretch couldn't stop a cold. Bama took their foot off the gas on offense and went on 6-minute drive at the 11-minute mark! JD doesn't play defense last I checked. I feel for JD getting hurt, I hate to see it, but I have no sympathy for fans of teams who lose a QB during a game and cry about losing...We lost Tua in an SEC championship game against The Georgia Bulldogs and still won. Look at Texas winning with their backup QB this year.

@thesammyist targeting is extremely debatable on that play. If it is targeting, then it is a strange one. It is nearly impossible to call targeting on a player who wraps up in a bear hug form-tackle with his entire facemask planted on his upper jersey and never launches off his feet. It would be like me trying to hit my wife with the top of my head while going in for a hug and a kiss simultaneously. Practically impossible. Roughing the passer? Yes. Targeting? IMO no. The NCAA will take another look this week and will punish if so

I think refs have been bad both ways in this game, the call on Dallas was okay to me, I would have understood if he got tossed anyway after what happened to Shilo Sanders last week, but well it was an okay call to me. Still very sad to see JD go down like that, nobody deserves it, and this guy has the potential to win the Heisman. Plus the game wasn't exciting without him in the end, that sucks. @@jackwilson5152 I think that’s why Texas might not get in. Nobody wants to see a bad backup get into the CFP and stink it up. Plus, they loss to Oklahoma who now has two losses. Alabamas loss will look better than Texas’s loss if Texas wins out. If Texas loses again, they definitely not getting in and it won’t matter.
