I do actually agree with you and try to do that whenever possible, but sometimes I get anxious and overly involved. I'll keep it more in mind in the future.
There's no need to interfere, in any way, as the Mom Cats know exactly what to do, by instinct. Know you're trying to comfort and ease the baby birthing process, but the Mama Cat can handle it.
It's beautiful, but why do humans think they always need to intervene in someone else's birth? Humans, animals, why is it necessary to rip the kitten out with your hands? First thing these babies need to experience is their mother,not some human wiping them with tissues

Very cute. Please don't think I'm being rude or anything but why do you feel like you need to get so involved with the mother cat giving birth? I see you touching her belly, pulling out the kitten, cleaning it, cutting the cord, etc. All this the mother cat does herself. For example, the mother cat bites the umbilical cord herself and eats it along with the placenta. It's gross to us but they are animals and also it is nutritious for them. In my opinion, all we should do is supervise occasionally and make sure everything's going well. Why do you feel you need to be so involved? Just a genuine question. Is this a normal thing breeders actually do or is this only something you do?
Lola is a special cat. She likes to be helped. However, not all cats like it. There are a couple of videos on our TH-cam channel where a cat gives birth to kittens by itself, without any intervention from me. It's best not to help her unless something goes wrong. Especially mom for the first time. Her instinct should work, and she will do everything right. However, I spilled up Lola's years ago, and now she won't even go into labor if I'm not around. Why can't you leave her alone? That's Cat knows what she is doing. I hate when people do the work. Did you throw away the after birth. She needs that for nursing healthy kittens. Mom has to do the work and needs the after birth. And you cut the ord.
I don’t understand why you are so involved in the delivery of these kittens. You pulling the kittens out or you could be tearing some tissues you could be causing all kinds of internal damage. Most cats know how to handle delivery. They eat the placenta, they chew on the placenta. It provides protein in their system. They lick their own kittens clean. You don’t need to do all of that that’s unnecessary and you could cause further harm. You may be wanting to help but that’s not the way to help. Even if you had taken the cat to a veterinarian, unless there was something obstructing a kitten from coming out they would let the cat go through the entire birth process without interfering . You all start these channels and you have absolutely no idea what you were doing. And pushing and rubbing on her stomach, you don’t know if she’s having a contraction. You don’t know what her pain level is any of that you could be making things even worse. That is so cruel. Just stop you don’t know what you’re doing. Just stop.

You don’t know this cat or the relationship it has with it’s human companions. Just like human mothers, no birth is exactly the same. The cat looked fine with being helped and is obviously healthy and well loved. Not sure if you can hear me way up there on your high horse. 👋

It depends on many factors. From start to finish usually 4-6 hours, but sometimes it takes t8-10 hours.
