I would love to see you add a bit more b-roll footage on the top of your commentary…closeups of the albums while you talk about them. You can easily do that using iMovie or Final Cut. Other than that I love what you do!
"Exposing" exactly what sets you apart from the rest .... It's all about structure ... having a subject ... having your thoughts and props all organized ... making your point and keeping on-point. Get in and get out without losing the viewers interest. That's exactly what you do each and every time. Thank you for the kind works Keith! I really appreciate it. I was like you when watching others and getting bored which is what led me to creating my channel to provide better info where I felt others failed hopefully filling a void out there. I’m glad to know you recognize it and enjoy it. Thank you. 👊
I can’t honestly remember you ever missing a day since you began. That’s a true iron man! Keep it going brother! Always a fun way to wind down the day, watching music stuff.
It’s been a year or two since I started posting videos daily. But when I started I only did it about every third day and then every other day. So not always a daily thing until the last couple of years. But once I started I don’t want to stop or break the flow.
Music is a full-time passion and could almost be a full-time job for you ! It's amazing how you manage to listen to all this music, do all that stuff... and have a job above it. Bravo !
Brendan this is so awesome for you to do a video like this and personally I want to thank you for all the hard work you put into these every single day. And I think the recent topics that you have brought up are very interesting it’s not just about reviewing the albums. I’ve enjoyed watching the videos where you talk about your new stereo system This is another reason why I think you probably have the best TH-cam channel out there and I look forward to watching every single video. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your kind words Steve. I really do appreciate hearing that and it certainly makes the hard work easier knowing that people like you really enjoy and appreciate the effort. Thank you for supporting my channel 🙏
@@BrendonSnyder I know I should’ve posted this on the previous video but I wanted to let you know that you’ve turned me onto this band called Green lung. Thanks for turning me onto that one.
Its amazing how much time effort & love you put into your presentation Brendan. I always enjoy them, but probably like the majority of your subscibers I take it for granted how they happen! Incidentally on a totally different subject the 'Flint' album was realeased on CD together with a Mark Farner album 'No Frills'. It might be a boot: I've not been able to track down the label
Thank you for sharing your tips. I started a channel and I struggle with editing. Hiding the microphone was helpful. You do an excellent job of speaking and sharing useful content in your videos. Keep up the good work 👏.
That’s cool that you started a channel. One of the key things I found is to make sure the title of the video is well thought out and eye catching. Between that and your thumbnail photo it’s the first two things that attract people to your videos. Regarding the mic, I’m glad you found the suggestion helpful. When I gave that piece of advice, I had no idea it would mean anything to anyone. After I filmed and watched back my video, I thought to myself “why did I say that” haha 😂. But see you never know what will be the thing that will connect with someone. So film and post it all! The more content you have the more chances for people to find you! Good luck with your channel!
Great insight and amazing that you produce most of this high quality uploads on your phone. Music is good for the soul and you are obviously passionate about it. Enjoy the channel immensely.

I have to admit it. I criticized some of your videos but most of the time they are fun to watch. The information you share helped me to enhance my taste for unknown bands and learn about projects. Now I have more knowledge to enjoy my visits to record stores and engage in conversations at conventions. Thank you and keep it up with your work.
Well I’m glad you can at least enjoy some of what the channel has to offer. Just remember anything I talk about is always just an opinion and we’re both allowed to have them. 👍
Hey Brendan, (WARNING: THIS COMMENT IS TOO LONG…) Darren from Canada here. I think I was born in a record shop! I’ve worked part-time in a used/underground music shop and spent most of my years hanging out in the local shops waiting for new releases. Also loved doing record shopping trips to Toronto, Waterloo, London (Canada). Some great stores that have since disappeared. I could have bought a house (like you) with all the cash I’ve spent on music. I still remember in the small town where I grew up was a small record store packed with new records and cassettes, sale items, etc. My dad would give me 2 bucks for lunch every weekday and I would pocket the money and by Friday have enough to buy a record. I thoroughly relate to your longtime love of music listening/collecting. I feel the same even today. D.
Great video as always Brendon. A topic I want you to tackle in the future is something along the lines of "Bands that made 1 amazing album and brokeup". And the bands do NOT have to be "famous or big" in the traditional sense. The reason for this topic is when I was heavily into music when I was young, here in Japan, the bands Katumandu and Jerusalem Slim both released albums which to my knowledge were fairly big hits here and literally brokeup/disappeared. I think of those bands every now and then and wonder how others think. Keep up the great work, Brendon!
@@BrendonSnyderyou mentioned how you keep a running list of topics. I have a suggestion for one that I would love to see you do. "Best & Worst" of an artist and why. Hey Brendon, great to see what goes into things behind the scenes. I really appreciate your videos and seeing this kind of effort makes me enjoy them even more. Keep up the great work! So my question is about which music stores you worked at over the years down here in FL since I’ll recall some of them. The Peaches store…was that the one across from Countryside Mall?
Brendon, I am in awe of you doing everything from a-z to get ready for these videos. Not sure what to ask you for the next question & answer. I’m always interested what other people ask you. Take care. Your friend Bill
Love it! Im 23 year old college student and I love all types of music. Heres an idea for a video. What rock/metal albums would you introduce a new generation of music fans too!
Everything on this channel! 😂 But actually I’ve done a video called 10 Rock Albums Everyone Should Own, see link th-cam.com/video/EARQcSG7_cM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=g4-WH2AskH08yM1D but I will also add the question to the Q&A
hi brendon , love your channel and I usually watch most of your videos even though our musical tastes are a bit different most of the times. That being said your enthusiasm about music really draws me towards them and I would like to ask if you will ever make a video about nu metal, alternative metal, metalcore, modern metal, progressive death metal, black metal and all these kind of genres that you almost never mention. I know that the reason you don't mention them is that you probably don't like them at all or like them very little but it would be fun if you did a video about bands you like from genres you are not a big fan of (I'm sure there must be some examples) . It would be really interesting to me to know your take on some of these genres that are usually "outside your confort zone" musically speaking. Cheers from italy !
Great video! Loved seeing behind the scenes! I stayed for the very end so here is my question (if you haven’t answered in previous videos) … What was your first rock concert and what is your latest rock concert? Thanks!
Thank you for the question and watching all the way to the end. I thought I’d make a little bonus for those who always stick around until the end. I’ve added your question to the list for the Q&A Session.
Excellent video, loved seeing how you out it all together from beginning to ending, and also totally agree on the owning what you are talking about, I feel it also gives a more personable feel to what you are talking about.
Thanks for doing this video! Never miss a single video, but sometimes scan through the Anthony episodes. Do you think you will ever be a comfortable chair listener in the future instead of sitting on the floor? I used to sit on the floor but found it hard on my back after a while. In my early 60s and have to sit in a chair now instead of on the floor. Also a Noodle fan!
Awesome video again mate , as I mentioned previously, I really appreciate all that you do . Got 2 questions for you 1st - what are your top 10 music video clips . 2nd top music autobiography/ biography music books . Cheers
Hi Gary, these two questions are really to big to answer in just a Q&A format. I’ll add them to my list for future videos and we’ll see what happens. I appreciate the questions and support.
Yes and I made a full video when I recently upgraded, see link if you’re interested in knowing more th-cam.com/video/sRn_ffY_VUw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NHS5za6iEsW8uiB4
Great video Brendon. Here's my question for ya, what bands jumped the shark for you? Their have been a few bands I listen to for a long time like, Muse, Disturbed, Slipknot, Ministry. Like, I still listen to their old stuff. But anything passed the albums I don't like is where they jumped the shark for me. Cause, nothing sucks more then buying a new release from a band you'll enjoyed for years only to be disappointed by the change in direction, a change in sound or style or even replacing band members. Now, when a band I like has a new album coming out and I'm not sure about it, I'll listen to it on TH-cam before buying it to save money.
Thank you for a most instructive video. I would be interested to learn a little more about the copyright processes briefly alluded to in the video, especially as the playing of actual music - for, one imagines, these very reasons - is most noticeably never a feature of your production output.
How did your collecting start? I’d imagine at one point you just owned CDs ….but at some point you realized it was a collection. When was that? And how have your collecting habits changed over time? Was it any and everything? Only brand new music? Did the discovery of ebay ramp up the collecting? Did you ever downsize? When did display become important?
I’ve never been one to sit and play covers so it’s not really any new bands that inspired me to play recently. But as for the question, I’ll modify it a bit and answer it during the Q&A.
You’re awesome Brendon, thankyou so much for your reply it’s greatly appreciated. The first thing I do every morning is make my coffee and sit in front of my laptop and while I noodle with my guitar I watch your latest video each day. Thanks bro 😃🎸
I’ve have been in and involved with the music industry for a long time in different capacities. I have an immense love for it especially rock and metal but I’ve worked with all genres. I love your videos because you always portray the same love and energy. I’ve always wanted to do a channel based around music but honestly I just don’t have the time. At least right now. That said, I’ll keep watching yours. So…. Leads me to my question. How do you find the time? I know you do your gig as an architect. How is it you can create and release something new basically everyday? Next question would be would you ever consider doing a video based on live shows? Last question… would you ever consider doing a reaction video to a band or new release song/record to catch your on the spot opinion. I know these types of videos are a thing just curious if that ever crossed your mind. Thanks man… appreciate you and what you do a great deal. I’m always looking for ways to fix the music industry. Your videos help!
Hey Brendon, honestly, I really appreciate all the content that you produce for us so frequently. I really don't know where you get the time with a full-time job. Thanks a bunch. You should do a video like this at the Sound Exchange. I got a question for you. How often do you dig into all those boxes of cds that don't fit in the music room? And where do you think your music obsession came from? Don't get me wrong, I have the same obsession. Don't really know where mine came from. Cheers my friend.
Thank you Jose for being a part of my channel and your continued support. Sometimes I don’t know how I do it either 😂 As for your questions, I’ve added them to the list! 👍
Cool video I also have to physically own the cd's when I talk about them on my channel your truly an inspiration for my channel maybe one day I will be as professional as you 😀
I think it keeps it real and more personal to hold up the real album as opposed to just an image on the screen. As for your channel it just take time. Things build slowly but as long as they are building that’s all that matters! Good luck with your channel. If you have any specific questions or want some extra tips let me know. You can email or contact me via Facebook.
Now that was a very interesting video! I love all the video's you do and it's always a part of my lunch break at work, so thanks for showing us all the hard work you do putting these things together! A question for you. I know you are a huge Kiss fan, but who's solo stuff from ANY line up of Kiss do you prefer and why? Could it be Frehley's Comet, or Vinnie Vincent's Invasion or any other solo work by members of Kiss. Keep up the great work on these videos and thanks for doing them!
HI Brendon, I am so impressed with what goes on behind the scenes to create the wonderful videos you do for us. I have to say you are a very well composed and well spoken presenter in what you do. I could actually imagine you working for some big television company music review guy on a big production style platform, and do it well. Ok you're doing that already from the comfort of your own home, but would you ever concider doing something bigger if someone spotted you and wanted you for their show. Ok that was kinda my first question, which leads onto another question quite neatly. If you had to work in another country and indeed live there, where would it be and why? I am assuming it would be in the world of either architect or entertainment, do you see yourself as branching out and doing other things? Like some kinda presenter? Ok, that was main two questions for you. Take care, and look forward to them in the appropriate video. Bye bye. Dave from Cornwall in the UK
Impressive! Here's a question: when you decided to move out of NYC, did you specifically look for an area that had record stores? Was that one of the main criteria? Could you have moved to an area that had little or NO record stores? Thank you! Cheers.
Thank you for sharing. This was interesting. I find your videos personal and honest. Do you have any video made that you're disappointed with when watching?
Hi Brendan loved the behind the scenes found it interesting and have a question about editing can i do it on an ipad or do i need pc laptop? Maybe looking at doing my own channel after Christmas. Cheers joe
Have you ever been Listning to the Swedish Band November? I know that Pete Pardo likes them but they are singing in Swedish, there are 2 other Bands from Sweden who is singing in English they are 1. Tears 2. Neon Rose all 3 Bands are from the 70's
Brendon another superb video. I watch your channel faithfully every day. Yes you have great content, but the one presenting the content has a terrific personality. Kudos to you. I see that you've gone from 18.2 to 18.3 in subscribers, so congratulations, but it should be way higher. I recently have gotten into 3 bands that I like a lot. They are Magnum, Romero's Daughter and Roxette. Wondering what you thoughts on them? And can you suggest other bands that are like them? By the way, I did receive my CDs from Sound Exchange and Anthony did autograph his album for me, such a treasure. Thank you so much Anthony. Please stay healthy and be safe! Peace out.
All 3 of those bands are very different. I would say to fully explore the band’s catalogue first and then branch out to their solo albums and side projects. Especially for Magnum. It also depends on which albums you like because for example, Magnum has straight ahead rock album and very progressive albums and the AOR melodic rock albums too. So making a recommendation is tough without more knowledge. However if you have me 3 bands that are the same style then that makes for easier recommendations because it fills in the gaps regarding what style you lean towards.
Steven, after Marie Fredriksson passed, Per Gessle had a kind of new setup called PG Roxette. Per is so productive, and of course, there is always Gyllene Tider, which he is a co-founder of. There is always something new from Per.
I have a question for you to ponder for your podcast. What are your ten favourite albums where you feel like there was a perfect marriage between producer and artist? We all know the choice of producer (David Foster with Chicago, Ted Templeman with Van Halen, etc.) can make or break any recording. In the future you could also cover your ten “wrong producer” examples. I’ve been writing and recording and performing since my early teens, later studied music production at college with Jack Richardson (Guess Who, Bob Seeger, Max Webster, etc.), so that’s where my question to you came from. Cheers, Darren 🙂
Some new ideas... 'So good I played it thrice'; 'Used to love but now the love has gone!'; 'Guilty pleasures'; 'music that can make me cry'; 'functional music: music for housework, music for cooking, music for sleeping etc'; 'Bought this for the cover' ;
I do get asked this one a lot so it’s been covered a couple times on past Q&A videos, but I’ve also made a video about my Top 10 Desert Island Albums, see link th-cam.com/video/S7iroCnOtyE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mTXbB1cs4cChAjA9

Hi Brendon. I have a curiosity to ask you, I hope you haven't answered this question before. How do you keep track of the CDs and vinyl records you own? I only have a tiny fraction of your collection, and yet, when I go to record fairs, I often come home with duplicates. Even using Discogs, sometimes there's little signal in the area I'm in, and I never manage to figure out for sure if I already own a CD or vinyl. Greetings from Italy!
I have answer this question and it probably does get asked every time I do a Q&A but I’m happy to answer it again. There are always new viewers who haven’t heard the answer but wish they knew.
There was a singer in AC/DC his name is Dave Evans there is an old video of AC/DC on TH-cam the song is Called Can I Sit next to you Girl from 1974, When the album High Voltage came out it was Bon Scott singing, Dave Evans had a band Called Rabbit my favorite album with Rabbit is Too Much Rock n Roll

What was your first rock concert and what is your latest rock concert?
Got 2 questions for you
1st - what are your top 10 music video clips .
2nd top music autobiography/ biography music books .
Cheers
Hi Gary, these two questions are really to big to answer in just a Q&A format. I’ll add them to my list for future videos and we’ll see what happens. I appreciate the questions and support.
@@BrendonSnyder cheers bro

Thanks for making your videos!
My pleasure! Thank you for your continued support. 🙏
That’s a really good question. I’ll have to give it some thought. I’ll add the question to the list! Thanks! 👍

You're welcome, Brendon.
Thank you for a most instructive video. I would be interested to learn a little more about the copyright processes briefly alluded to in the video, especially as the playing of actual music - for, one imagines, these very reasons - is most noticeably never a feature of your production output.
Someone else has asked a similar question so I will address it in the Q&A. Thanks for weighing in.
Please do a separate review of the previous video cd - synthesizer classics - sounds really interesting
Keep it up Brendon . Really enjoy your stuff !
Thanks for all the hard work putting out these great and informative videos
How did your collecting start? I’d imagine at one point you just owned CDs ….but at some point you realized it was a collection. When was that? And how have your collecting habits changed over time? Was it any and everything? Only brand new music? Did the discovery of ebay ramp up the collecting? Did you ever downsize? When did display become important?
That’s for all the questions you asked. I picked the best two and added them to the list for the upcoming Q&A.
What bands inspire you to play your guitar lately? As always great videos Brendon 😀🎸
Hi Dave, thanks for all the support! I’ve added a couple of your questions to my list.
@@BrendonSnyder thank you so much 😁
Now that was a very interesting video!
Thanks William, I’ve added your question to the list for the Q&A.
Any day and any video that has anything to do with KISS is a good day!
Hi Dave, thanks for the kind words! I’ve added your questions to the list for the Q&A!
@@BrendonSnyder Hi Brendon, thank you 😊
That’s a very interesting question I’ll really have to think about. I’ve added it to my list for the Q&A.
Hi Brendan loved the behind the scenes found it interesting and have a question about editing can i do it on an ipad or do i need pc laptop? Maybe looking at doing my own channel after Christmas. Cheers joe
Behind the curtain 😂 or the wizard of glam….🎉 Brendon the man🎉😊
Now that’s a nickname I would like! 😂
So come on gang let’s make it happen ❤ so going forward 🎉Brendon nick name is “The Wizard of Glam”
Have you ever been Listning to the Swedish Band November? I know that Pete Pardo likes them but they are singing in Swedish, there are 2 other Bands from Sweden who is singing in English they are 1. Tears 2. Neon Rose all 3 Bands are from the 70's
I’m not familiar with that band but I do listen to artists who don’t sing in English.
Pretty cool
So you take all the credit for the videos, I thought your cat helped with the editing and camera work. Team work Brendon 😊
Haha 😂
thank u sir
My pleasure!
Curious to know how you decide which albums you buy on Vinyl or Cd?
Thanks for the question, I’ll get into that during the Q&A
Brendon another superb video.
Hi Darren! While 10 would be too many to go into for the Q&A, I will answer the question and focus on one producer and several albums.
@@BrendonSnyder Hi. Ten was just a round number, but the topic of producers/bands would be interesting to put out there. Thanks Brendan. Darren.
Some new ideas... 'So good I played it thrice'; 'Used to love but now the love has gone!'; 'Guilty pleasures'; 'music that can make me cry'; 'functional music: music for housework, music for cooking, music for sleeping etc'; 'Bought this for the cover' ;
Which is your biggest passion, music or architecture?
A nice behind the scenes look Brendon! My question for you is: you are on a dessert island, and can only take 5 cds, which albums are you taking?
I do get asked this one a lot so it’s been covered a couple times on past Q&A videos, but I’ve also made a video about my Top 10 Desert Island Albums, see link th-cam.com/video/S7iroCnOtyE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mTXbB1cs4cChAjA9
You might have covered this, but what are your top 10 favorite bands or at least your #1?
Since this question does get asked a lot and most people know it I’ll simply answer that my favorite band is Pink Floyd. Thanks for the question.
I think it would be cool to see a blooper reel
I made one last year and posted it at the end of the year and may well do another this year, see link: th-cam.com/video/lVde0A1CHSQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=was0JLmUjGRMgJ4J
Who was the first person that turned you onto music and what album did he or she introduce you to?
Thank you for the question, I’ve added it to the list!
This is James Levin what is your favorite Metal Church album and why ?
Are fans/bands able to send CDs etc to you for review?
Hi Christopher, thanks for the question, I’ve added it to the list and will discuss during the Q&A.
I have lots of Dave Evan’s material in my collection.
What did you think of the new Beatles track? I thought it was fantastic
It’s good but I can see why it wasn’t originally finished by either Lennon or The Beatles. But nice that it got completed and released.
Do you , or are you open to review subscriber created music ?
Thank you for your question, I have added it to the list!
@@BrendonSnyder thanks Brendon 👍
How tall are u?
Thanks for the question, I’ve added it to the list.
Ever run into any copyright issues?
Oh yes, quite often. I’ll discuss it more in the Q&A.
