Hey jp2823, there are a few big differences but most of them come down to the difference in age. The PA30 is pretty different on a few systems, like the emergency landing gear, the fuel system/tanks, and especially the pitch trim mounted on the ceiling! Their flying characteristics are pretty similar, though, and I had no difficulty jumping into the PA30 for IFR after having done my multi training on the Seneca.
Hey besttherapy4361, I use a GoPro 8 for the video and the Pilot USA Digital Audio Recorder Adapter that I got from Aircraft Spruce for capturing the headset audio. Good luck with your training!
Well the engines do need to warm up. I owned a Seneca and took about the same time to get in the air. I went thru the emergency procedures mentally everytime. I recall one rushed takeoff one early morning when i was running late. I had a friend who was also a pilot mention that i rushed the engine warm-up as we climbed out. I think about that takeoff today 30 years later.
No instructor rating, and no plans to get one at the moment. Got the multi now! Next step for me is to get the IFR rating. I work in engineering on level D flight simulators, so my desire for getting MIFR is to build more overlap and understanding in what I do for work!
Ever the controversial subject in multi-flying. I would agree that anyone at/below the commercial certificate level solo; only full-stop and taxi-back in a twin. Some schools and/or instructors do not allow solo touch and goes in singles.
Thank you for sharing such a nice video. starting my PA 34 today. It helps in preparing well. 🙂🙂
Thank you Thrishul! Good luck with your training, glad to hear this is helping!
Very good flying. I like how well the take-off briefing was given.
Thanks so much for the uploads helps see another student and how they do things and also saved a lot of $$$ with your videos!!
Excellent video….thanks for posting
Thank you very much! And congrats on your flight.
Thanks Jair!
Thanks for sharing
Starting my pa34 training flight today it is perfect thanks
I have a question. I noticed that it maintained an asymmetry in the propeller levers, with less propeller towards the right turn side. Why do that?
Hey! I saw your other video at Lachute on their twin. Have you noticed a big difference between the PA30 and Seneca? Great vids, keep them coming ;)

@Daniel Kelly thanks for clarifying! Yes the good ol' ceiling trim lol.
Thank you for the video, I’m a student of that school actually, can you tell me what do you use for the record of voice and video ? Thank you

These are the longest checklists I've ever seen. Lost interest...

Very awesome. Are you already a CFI or are you getting the multi before the instructor rating.

@@danielkelly2774 oh very cool! Any plans to get the commercial rating in the future?
@@randomguywhostoleallofyour88 Already have it! Got it about 10 years ago actually.
I would never do “touch n go’s” in a twin. Not a good idea.
Why do you say that, Randy?

@@ccasche5088... I've done thousand of touch-and-go's in light Twins... just stay above the blue line in the air.
Thank you for posting these videos. Starting my multi training in a Seneca next month
You're welcome Brett! Good luck with your training
