Shalwar or Sarees area not Sri Lankan attires brother. They are from India & Pakistan. Last generation was comfortable with them. With globalisation currently there is a mix of cultural influences. In other communities our sisters have moved from skirt & blouse to jeans, muslim community has gone to Abaya. Similarly some sisters have gone to shorts & mini skirts among sinhalese & Tamils. Likewise here some have chosen to face cover. Both are bit extreme in it's own ways.Therefore dress shouldn't make a one more or Less Sri Lankan. It all depends on how sincere a petson to his mother country & how much glory they bring to Sri Lanka.
