    It is time for the newest instalment in that beloved cinematic automotive TH-cam experience where we film practical cars that can be bought for less than £1,000 in a manner befitting of their inexpensive value! This may go horribly wrong...
    This time, as we test a 2007 Renault Clio Mark III 1.4 Dynamique, we comment on rather low gearing, appreciate the higher specification dashboard, discuss the good old Renault K-Type engine and waffle on about very little of any importance at all. Nothing untoward, then...

    Thank you for this video! It's amazing how what is considered something of a luxury car in New Zealand appears to be a common and widely popular car in the UK! 🙂

      The Clio is actually the best selling car of its type in Europe, so not really seen as a luxury car over here at all!

    Decent enough car in all fairness, excellent review MR Lloyd.

      I would prefer a facelifted 1.6 Privilege, sir, but this one will do nicely.

    Just playing catching up on the vidoes while i am on holiday, a excellent review as always Sir, i know of someone with a Gordini model that came along to one of my cars and coffees back in 2022.

      Sir, glad you enjoyed this video. I was very pleased to be offered this following the HubNut event in the Cotswolds last month. We also had the typical issues with the mount, of course....

    The Clio, one of my early cars a Gen 1 RN 1.2 if memory serves, fantastic little motor 3 door too, a great review and it shows how the car changed, I personally prefer the looks of the 1st Gen, such a clean design.

      I think that if you look in the description below, you will find a link to the review of the Mark I Clio that did earlier this year. That was fun, as were the three others I have tried, they are all a bit different. I know that you have tried a Mark V too. Thank you again, Mr and Mrs Quirk!

    I never realised that Renault also didn't bother to relocate their fuse boxes for right hand drive models. I thought that was just PSA Groupe.

      It was all the French makes of car at one point, sir!

      @@lloydvehicleconsulting To their credit they have moved it now ...we can thank Stellantis for making the first move on that. Having said that the drupe snout with the divided grill look was my least favorite of all Renault design language ...ever.

      @lloydvehicleconsulting  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Luke-PlanesTrainsDogsnCars , yes, the new Astra L certainly has a conventional sized glovebox, as does the Corsa F, both based on Stellantis platforms.

    I had a 57 plate one in silver for a few years. Only difference was mine also had a panoramic sunroof which felt quite luxurious indeed. The electrics failed on it in the end though 😢

    • @lloydvehicleconsulting
      @lloydvehicleconsulting  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do get a bit concerned about Renault electrics of this era, so when I saw it had a normal key, I felt a bit reassured, but I have heard a few stories like yours, sadly. Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting!

    I see more of these on the road than the equivalent generation supermini which shows what a decent little car they are

    • @lloydvehicleconsulting
      @lloydvehicleconsulting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They seem to have a remarkably high survival rate for some reason.... Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting!

    Hello Joseph , I have never owned a Renault , not my cup of tea. so dont think I will ever buy one. Thanks for another great review any way .

    • @lloydvehicleconsulting
      @lloydvehicleconsulting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I haven't owned one myself, actually, but I have driven four out of the five generations of Clio now. A lot of it comes down to personal preference, I think.

    Looking at the super mini market for my first car, how would this hold up against a honda jazz/fit of similar spec?

    • @lloydvehicleconsulting
      @lloydvehicleconsulting  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you are looking at a car of this age and value, then the condition of the individual cars may end up being more important than the make and model of the car itself.
